So we've been without beta for a day now and I'm curious as to what everyone is doing in their free time. Is everyone just massing to the forums to ease the shakes or are you playing a different game to keep your mind off the impending awesome? Also is anyone else waiting on an item that they ordered a bit too late and are hoping it will show up before the game? Personally I'm waiting on a new monitor, I can play with the one I have but I still hope it gets here in time.

Also the withdrawal part is just a joke but if you are experiencing withdrawal from this I'd suggest some serious therapy. :)

I've been playing through the Mega Man X series and Metroid Prime over and over the last couple of days, and doing work.

I'm not really bothered by the wait.

Dissidia. And Lightning Warrior Raidy (NSFW, so don't google it). And FFT on the PSP. And once I finish one of these, I'll add FFT:A probably.

Been playing L4D2 for several weeks now. Got plenty of other stuff to do for the next couple months, so I don't see myself having any trouble giving time for SE to smooth out the release.

My friend dragged me to reactivate FFXI until the end of the month so he can hit Lv60. That's what I'll be doing until FFXIV.

I've been doing instant scratch off tickets(hoping to pay off my bills;), surfing the forums occassionally, and tweaking my system some to get better frames in ffxiv when it goes live(currently at 3.98 ghz on my phenom IIx4 955BE, with a slight overclock on my gpu:)

Finally broke 4k stable on the stupid benchmark that doesn't seem to be a true benchmark of the game(just a stress test for my cpu and gpu;)

It was fun before too... But when they changed how single use recipes worked it just became too easy... got full hq level 48 plate armor for my guardian in less than a week. I was actually thinking of checking it out again now that it's free...

Back to War for Cyberton the last few days, but....

The LOTRO thing sounds fun. A friend and I played it non stop at initial release, but we found the game barren once you fell out of pace with the rest of the steady gamers.

But, as a filler of time, I'm downloading the client again. The pay-as-you-go concept is new to me though.

I'm also mashing undead meat, that game is really good to kill time, I can lose 2-3 hours w/o notice while dismembering the fallen.

Why don't you get an original disk on ebay and emulate it on the PC?

God I wasted so much time on this series, and this game in particular, back in the day. Risze is still one of my favorite characters of any game series, right up there with Aerith and Seris (Celes).

I've got the original game, but not a PS1/2 (gave to my dad) and my PS3 isn't backward compatible. I could emulate it, but I really want to play it portable IE when I am on night shift at work! To be honest its more frustration that its out in Japan, and even more frustrating if I was to be an unscrupulous type and resort to piracy and hacking I could play it anyway!

No wonder piracy is so popular when the pirates can let you use your hardware better than vendors can. Once upon a time I was considering soft modding my Wii just so I could use it as a bloody DVD player!
