I didn't like what I saw in beta at all. Most likely this has to do with the fatigue system, the guildleve cooldown, or SE not putting in an AH! I decided I needed the attention, so I am posting another thread despite there being dozens already. I even will use the same reasons, just restated in my own words. Heck, I probably could have just copied and pasted from one of the posts already here.
Even though I flat out say that I'm going to cancel my preorder, I'm going to take offense if someone responds to this bidding me good-bye. I don't want to insult people who genuinely like this game, but seriously people, are you just going to like a game I don't like just because it says "Final Fantasy" on it? I bet you liked Final Fantasy 13 as well, as only foolish fanboys would have liked playing 13.
Now here's why I don't want to play:
1. Thing that's missing. I mean, seriously, I can go into any game store and find any POS game and it will have this. I hate game developers that try new things, because trying new things is breaking away from the "it works" rut. I mean, obviously, if it ain't broken, don't fix it right? Just ignore that there were people that didn't like how this thing that's missing in beta was implemented in other games.
2. Game mechanic I don't like. The game developers should be catering to how people want to play, developing a system that would encourage people to play parts of the game they don't want to play before trying it. If I ever got into a D&D game and didn't get to play the way I got to, but had to follow the story outline my DM designed, I'd just throw a huge hissy fit and leave. Heck, I eat only junk food and drink only high sugar energy drinks because when I was younger I screamed so much about my parents trying to expand my palate that they finally caved and let me do as I wish.
That was fun.
