I'm unable to log back in to Account Management after registering and setting up one time password with Security Token. Anyone else run into this?

Yep, same problem. All was fine until I registered the token.

Anyone have success logging in after registering their token? I'd like to hear some positives before I register mine.

Also, since this thing runs off battery, and it doesn't appear you can open it without breaking the device, what happens when it dies? Hours on phone support with SE?

Just tried to change my password after waiting a few minutes. The account management page is refusing any token password I give it now (including the original). Guess it's time to waste a few hours on the phone~

Interesting note, one of the the password rules states that "Passwords including the same three characters in a row cannot be used." Yet, I've already seen the security token issue passwords with the same character, up to as many as 4 times in a row, per password.

ill just make sure my anti-virus programs are up to date and not be a wetard on the interwebs therefore not getting a keylogger, and leave my token in the box. Im guessing it would be a nightmare to have to call SE if something were to go bad.

Yeah, I never bothered with these silly things in any game before. However, I remember SE granting double the inventory space to those who purchased them. Figured I'd go ahead and register it now, and be ready to go later if they did the same here...loving my NA CE purchase more and more each minute! :P

Yeah, went fine for me too, until I tried to log into the game itself. Then it decided to become invalid. ^_^;

In ffxi they had the mog satchel if you purchased the security token, most people i knew just bought it for that then canceled the token, which is un usable after you cancel it. i dont think there will be any bonuses to using it in FFXIV other than a added layer of security.

Nah, wish it was something that simple. Would love for it to have been user error, but no luck in troubleshooting yet. Thanks for taking the time to try and help though!

I never used a token in beta, or prior in FFXI. I registered the token that I received with the CE to the same account, not a new one (since all my bonuses where on said account). It did register correctly and everything was working fine (or so I thought), until I logged out of the account management page and then tried to log into the game itself. It stated the one-time password was invalid, so I closed the client and tried the account management page again, and recieved the same error message.

I'm sure the problem will be resolved. The bigger problem is actually contacting SE at this point, to get the token unlinked.

**EDIT: After submitting a ticket, and attempting a third password change while waiting for a response from said ticket, I "magically" have access to my account again, and the token password(s) work fine now. Interesting! Now to unlink it and kill it with fire...right after a 1-week crafting binge of course! :P
