Wow, I'm going to abuse that like a teenage girl with her mom's credit card in [insert your favorite cosmetics/body/clothing store to hate here]. I hope it's not too lagged out for the first few days.

Its a very awesome crafting guide with recipes, for those of you (like myself) that don't click links that don't have a description.

Sorry Wint, I knew there was a ZAM wiki for it. In fact as an Armorour I was using it religiously during the open beta, but everyone was complaining that SE didn't give them any way in game to record recipes, so when I found this I thought I would post it to help people find a list of recipes from the horses mouth.

Yeah, I'd much rather have a searchable list.

Nice start for SE though, at least.

We will have ours updated with levels by the end of the week I imagine, I'm sure Pikko will be cracking the whip over Thayos, Vlorsutes, Elmer, Osarion, and I to get them updated Smiley: grin

No need to be sorry, ours is searchable at least. This gives us the best way to validate our information Smiley: nod

This is freaking awesome. We're missing the shard and training book info from a ton of recipes.

I just wish... they had the tool listed too...

That's just the start. With URL-linked materials, their source (NPC, drops, crafted), how to make them, and what are the actual stats on the stuff we'll craft?

SE's list is great, but ZAM's will be way more practical. Keep up the good work!

Seriously, good job on the searchable and sortable listings, I plan on still using the ZAM wiki myself, but this gives everyone a nice source of information right off the bat to start with before we can explore and work things out for ourselves.

Oh and I kept browsing, SE has added a ton of commands to the / list for graphics, interestingly enough. You can turn on and off physics interactions, draw distance and various effects from in game with / commands.

Not sure about spoil... Zam's database is much more complete, colors aside, not all the Equipment recipes that SE has posted show how to make the parts needed, just what parts you do need.

I still wish there was a cowl, that didn't force you to have to hood up however... I like the look of the cowl robe, but the other robes just aren't the same... and it would be nice to be able to wear different headgear along with the cowl.

YES! This is awesome news for people with terrible PCs such as myself.
Draw distance is one of the major performance hogs in most other games i've played. The game looked amazing in OB with the crazy long draw distance, but for the sake of FPS i would love to turn it down.

Any chance of a list of the new slash commands? Or maybe patch notes?

Very interested to see what they changed between manufacturing and the end of open beta

EDIT: Answered my own question about the first one, still might be nice to have the second one Smiley: smile

I definitely like the search-ability of the ZAM database.

So what does this actually mean? Is it just an online database or will this be appearing in-game? The weird layout almost looks like they're duplicating game menus.

I just finished alchemy recipes from their site. Added some, updated a ton, but I think our list is more complete than theirs. I don't think their site has everything, although it has quite a few.

I always assumed that this was meant to be a primer of sorts, enough to get people started, but leave room for "exploration and discovery" as SE would put it. I'm of mixed minds on it. I like the idea of having the opportunity to search out recipes and discovering something no one else knows, but at the same time, just randomly throwing materials together in practice gets extremely frustrating.

I agree. A lot of these are similar, and it doesn't take much guesswork to figure out what the recipe would be. The number and types of crystals is the hard part. Ingredients are easy.

Exactly! This just means that things are looking up. This doesn't seem to be your father's SE anymore. They're throwing us bones, damnit. Bones!

Wow, this is just completely unlike SE... guess they are trying to turn a new leaf with XIV lol.

P.S. This Lodestone site looks like it is going to be waaaaay better than the XI site they gave us. That site was a POS, this one actually seems useful.

No weaver :(

I've spent most of the beta tracking down a recipe for Hyur undergarment/undershirt just to get rid of that awfull red circle at the top of my screen.

Edit: I just took another look and it's there, undergarments and everything just listed under clothcraft, duh.

You can do that here too. Simply click "Rank" at the top of the column and it will sort by rank. We are in the process of updating the shard and training info in the db. I ticketed adding multiple training and subcrafts and facility recommendations.

Well to tell you the truth I think the ZAM database is going to really gain some hits and usefulness when people start needing the 30+ recipes b/c I think SE is just trying to give us a little nudge. I don't think they will continuously update the recipe list. They are just trying to make the game a little bit more newb friendly from the start... in contrast to how they began with XI.

ZAM's website and a few other sites will obviously have everything here and more player discovered recipes, so I'll still be using the community sites.

But it sure is pretty.

I really hate to say this, but as nice as it is to have a list online... it really should be built into the game. Especially with the incorperation of crafting as classes equateable to combat types rather than professions.
