Who's upset about servers going up now?Follow

I understand your frustration, but really, do we need to all make individual "I'm angry" threads? Be sensible for just a bit please. Think of it this way, this is more of a boon than a hindrance. Having all of Japan, and applicable regions, and those who did get their copy early by some means, alleviates server congestion. If we ALL went on at the SAME time, it'd be a crapstorm to be sure. It's just half a day... hold out just a bit longer....

I don't understand all these hate threads. OP has a very valid point, if you guys aren't whining about people playing before you. You're be whining about how slow the patch servers are. I mean are you trying to be the first one who reaches the highest level, oh wait surplus... I heard cata is coming out soon though...

How exactly are people playing before US players? The game has a world wide release date, correct? It's made in Japan, the majority of players would probably come from Japan, its release date is bound to be dated in Japan time zone manner, correct? As someone said before, this planet called Earth has several time zones, so the game's 22nd is your 21st. Sorry, but I'm still confused about this whole ranting. Is it because the US retailers refuse to deliver on the 21st in US/22nd in Japan?

I'd believe most of it is just boredom, particularly after having just played the OB. Could of wished they'd let the Beta running for another day myself... but ah well... tomorrow.... tomorrow...... maybe tomorrow....

I don't even understand the anger. It's less than 24 hours not months like the PS3 launch (I had to =P). What are we 5 years old waiting for Christmas morning. Yes I'm exciting for the game, am i so excited as to complain over a time frame of less than 24 hours? **** no.

Anger... Forming.. words...hard. Low blow..... Uncalled for.... PS3 quip.... /cry!

LOL seriously, that one stung a little bit. As if it's not going to be a hard enough 6 month wait already. ::Shakes fist at you::

Speaking of Christmas... Japan gets THAT earlier than us every year too. And they don't even seem to notice...

I don't mind...and I ignore the carebears :) I know I'll get to play within the next few days, which is better than having to wait til the 30th...or even PS3. I just showed my mom the pre-launch movie trailer (because I'm super pumped for tomorrow) and she was like "yeah I can see why you're excited. If I was a gamer I'd play it too!"....I love my mom :3

Now that, I can justify being upset about!
This puts us at a major disadvantage. I call Shenanigans!

My mom would just sigh, and walk away. Sometimes, it's best not to share! :(

I just don't understand why SE didn't just change the release date to the 21st is all.

Sounds like the worst Christmas ever. And to think I was peeved when I opened up what turned out to be new socks. Smiley: disappointed

Because the situation would be the same: Japan would have been playing the game on what you perceived to be the 20th, while we waited for the 21st. they are approximately 15hrs ahead of the PDT/GMT-8 time that they post. You can't win unless you cheat, or own a time machine.

be happy everyone's getting it within 24 hours of it, instead of one language having the game for 6-12 months first like SE usually does things.

I'll most likely be getting my call from EB in the middle of Printmaking or Composition class. Thank God I'm a Fine Arts major and like, every teacher's a hippie and doesn't care.

Just a heads up... but the EB near me called... and are short on their pre-order copies (seems a trend for all gamespot/Eb's).

IM ANGRY GRRR RAWRG

Ok not really, let the crowd disperse throughout the day(s) it will help it go smoother. Also Gamestop just told me its ready to pick up tomorrow morning right when they open. I hear so much about bad Gamestops, but all mine have always been really great and good employees. The closest I have been to a "Gamestop mistake" was entirely not their fault (game shipment arrived late in most places). Guess I'm lucky?

I'm definitely not upset but I am a tad jealous I have to wait until morning to play. But I look at it this way: By the time I can get on and logged in the congestion won't be as bad as most of Japan should have gotten in and started playing. Plus depending on how obsessed everyone is with leveling it may be a little easier to find lower target enemies to pounce. Either way, my time comes soon enough. :)

I personally don't care if people have a 1 minute or 1 year headstart on me. I'm getting my collector's edition in about 9 hours anyways (My friend manages my local Gamestop and is letting me in half hour early lol) so kudos to those of you playing now. I'll catch up to you soon enough and will probably turn out to be a better player overall than half those that are on right now! :)

Same, I'll fire off a guildleve or two to earn some cash then I'll probably work on some botany if it gets too crowded. I plan to take up every craft (Minus fishing probably, I don't think I'll have much interest in that department.) since I'll likely be doing alot of repairs for friends.

I am fine with it... because i have class early tomorrow and won't play tonight anyway. I still get 7 days ahead of a lot of other people. It's worth it to me and I get all the nifty stuff the collector's edition comes with.
