I was ******** until my friend reminded me he's moving, and the cable at his new place won't be set up till Friday night. I felt better then, because at least I have internet to lurk the forums until I get my copy.

Email from Amazon:

"Greetings from Amazon.com.

We thought you'd like to know that we shipped your items, and that this
completes your order."

Tracking says it's in Plainfield IN.

... I could drive there in about 5 hours, if I go really fast...

Yeah, I have classes on the 22nd (tomorrow), potentially lasting until 10:00 PM and then I have to drive 8 hours across four states to get to my CE, so having to wait <24 hours until the CE hits stores is the least of my frustrations. :(

My CE copy hasn't shipped from Amazon yet. Infact, it says estimated shipping date: September 27th.

That's just the shipping date, not delivery. If it's accurate, I'll miss out on almost the entire headstart.

But that's fine. My name is already reserved on the server, and I'm only getting the CE for the onion helm and the art book. None of those will be affected by entering the game a few days later. I only recently switched from standard edition anyway, so I'd already been prepared to not play until the 30th.

In the meantime I'll see if I can locate a CE in a store around here. I might get lucky, and then I'll just EBay the Amazon copy once it arrives.

Well, I go to school in eastern Michigan, but my boyfriend pre-ordered both of our games in-store in Iowa (where he lives). So once I get done with classes tomorrow, I have to drive to Iowa where my game is. Grumblegrumblegrumble... :(

I say: have him drive to Michigan and deliver the game personally! :D

Seriously though, be careful on the road! 8 hours is no joke.
