Version check keep failing?Follow

I ran the game last time perfectly fine off torrent, and been playing with it for hours.

Then the day after that, it stopped working because the version check kept failing. I assumed this is because the servers are down.

But apparently according to the status updates...It's fine. I still can't get pass the version check. I deleted everything that's FFXIV, and reinstalled it. Even then, version check still fails.

I live in Hawaii if that helps.

Yes I am, is that something I'm not supposed to do? If so...I feel dumb, did Beta close down already? Or is there a new client I never heard about?

I feel stupid, but enlighten me and show me the way :(

And yes, I uninstalled it, deleted everything, then installed it to make sure it's very clean.

Never delete applications from a Windows based PC. There's an Uninstall utility in your control panel that applies to 99% of all applications you'll ever install. Use that. If you just highlight folders and tell it to delete them, you wind up with ****** up registries and a PC that runs like crap.

Start >> Control Panel >> Programs >> Uninstall a Program >> Click on FFXIV Beta to kill it. Follow the instructions till it's done.

..and thank you for that, I actually looked for something like this when I came to uninstall it the first time but couldn't find it. Thanks again :).
