I have had it with these greedy bastards chaging europeans more than anyone in the world. I can understand a little higher prices because of taxes but paying MORE THAN TWICE as much as the US is simple ROBBERY.

18 EURO per month for Basic service and 1 Character. No retainers, nothing! That is $25! The US pays $12.99.

Basic Account Fee (*2)
30 days £6.89 (or 689 Crysta) 9,99 € (or 999 Crysta)
90 days £18.87 (or 1,887 Crysta) 26,97 € (or 2,697 Crysta)
180 days £33.54 (or 3,354 Crysta) 47,94 € (or 4,794 Crysta)

Character Fee 30 days £2.10 (or 210 Crysta) 3,00 € (or 300 Crysta)

*2 To play FINAL FANTASY XIV, you will need to pay a basic account fee and fees for each character.

That means after your first month, for one character it's at most 13€ (9,99€ + 3,00€) a month.
If you buy a 6 month block it's €11 a month for one character.

So in fact WTF are you getting 18 euro per month from?

It does. The "basic fee" is reduced by exactly the $3 for the first character. Just another way to calculate, but the price hasn't changed.

Ok, they need to make their information and payment system more transparent. The 18 Euro are actually for the Character for 6 Months (3EUR/Month). The whole payment system is kind of backwards. It also shows me a 12Euro discount :O

Canadians will pay upwards of 15$. Click and Buys conversion is something like 0.91 which is really lowHigh! I don't know if there is a transaction fee added to that either so it might be even more! Our dollar isn't that low so they might be including the transaction/conversion fee in that number. Still hate paying more than I have to.

What I want to know is...
Can you have say, a 6 month basic fee, then...

Pay for character A for 2 months, park them and then pay for character B for 4 months.
In theory this would mean the same monthly cost but allow you to have 2+ characters, just not be able to play them at the same time.
Or would they remove your character after a short period of inactivity?
Or perhaps they force you to pay for character A if you want a character B?

Answers on an e-card please.
