Got up, ran down to GS, picked up game and rushed home. Popped in the disk without any concern, and then right after I selcected Language, I get a popup stating I need to have Vista Service Pack 2 installed, and to perform a windows update. I keep my windows updated constantly, so don't know why I wouldn't have it, if it was such an integral part of the program. Anyone else get this issue running Windows 7?

i had this problem. all i had to do is go to control panel > programs and under programs and features is "run programs made for previous versions of windows and follow that. you'll also have to do it again for Vista SP3.

Now I'm having trouble with a Feature transfer error. the game installs about 75% of the way and this error comes up.

Awesome, thank you! Not sure what that was all about. Was trying to DL Vista SP2 to manually add it, but even that was giving me issues. Installing the game just fine as for now!

woulndn't a vista service pack be a bad idea for windows 7? pretty sure it would as they different os.
anyway to try and be a little more helpfull. i run windows 7 ultimate 64bit and all i had to do was click the "run as administrator" box in the properties.

have you tried that?

Running the game since launch on 7 Ultimate 64bit... never had an issue with SPs...

This is right (BTW thank you for that!) But you set compatability to windows 7 (not vista service pack 2) & it lets you install it properly!
