Are SLI issues fixed?Follow

I've seen people claim the retail is running better, I'm currently installing and patching. During the beta, SLI users had to do a little work around to put their 2nd video card to work. So is it working on it's own now or will I have to go do that again?

What is the work around? I noticed increased performance with SLI enabled, but I didn't do anything to work around.

the fix was required in Beta when using windowed mode, SLI worked already in fullscreen. At least on my machine it did. Also any one with an EVGA card who updates via EVGAs website would have a vendor designed "patch" to ensure it's enabled.

However it would be nice to know for sure or not if SLI(or Crossfire) is supported by the release version.

I would assume either way the AMD and Nvidia will be releasing patches very soon for this game (and a few other new releases)

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRROOOOYARGLBARGLBLARG!!!!!

SLI AND CROSSFIRE SUPPORT ARE DRIVER SIDE NOT APPLICATION SIDE.

Games do not "support" SLI or Crossfire. It is up to the GPU manufacturer to supply an application profile if generic settings do not work or are inefficient.

I am really, REALLY sick of people talking about whether or not X game "supports" SLI or Crossfire.

Gah!

Adjust the resolution of menus.
The main screen resolution for "FINAL FANTASY XI" is dependent on the "Overlay Graphics Resolution" setting.
If the Overlay Graphics Resolution is set higher than the Menu Resolution, menus will be automatically resized.

I thought of it first:

orly?

There are a few games out there that COME WITH THE FORCEWARE DRIVERS, yes I understand that ultimately it becomes a driver end issue... Just that alot of games came with stuff that wrote automotically into the .inf or whatever files of your name brand driver.

Pretty sure the situation is the same as it was in beta. I just got out of the game now, fullscreen, and my GPU2 usage never went above 15%. If you do the fix I linked it'll go higher as it should and you'll notice a performance increase. The retail version feels to run the same as beta did for me, which was slightly laggy at 1920x1080, 4xAA and most things on high. After the fix though it should be smooth.

both my GPUs were showing use in full screen but I was only getting about 15% out of the 2nd GPU in windowed... Without using the editor with Beta.

I was getting about the same but in fullscreen with my 2 GTX 285's, with the fix I posted, they're both 70%+ most of the time and the game is running noticeably smoother on my higher settings. In fact it's running better than beta now, I'm not getting the lag at Camps and major cities like I was during beta.
