So I tried to purchase some crysta so I could play the game. I clicked on pay and a page comes up saying I have to confirm my card with the company by giving them the numbers they charged my card. So I check my card online and notice they've charged the $51 as well as the confirmation amounts. I think to myself "oh, it must be added to my account when I confirm it. Yeah no, I confirmed my account but the $50 has mysteriously not been charged to my crysta or to my ClickandBuy account. It's charged on my card, I just got nothing in return.

So I just payed 50 bucks for what exactly?

Yeah good luck with calling them. They tend to play dumb and its like pulling teeth.

Just the other day I was charged full price $12.95 for both my main and my mule on FFXI. I called them and we just went in circles. I told them I was looking at my SE charge statement as well as my credit card statement that showed me being charged $12.95 + $12.95 instead of $12.95 + $1.00. They just told me I was charged correctly and "is there anything else we can do for you?". I told them I was not charged correctly and my bill supported this and they kept going around with "well maybe you were charged for an expansion". I told them, yes, I was charged $10.00 for an add-on, plus $12.95 * 2. So they told me I must have been confused and the extra billing was just the add-on charge, quickly followed by "is there anything else can I do for you?".

Long story short, after being transferred to someone else who didn't want to answer my question directly, I gave up and was out $11.95.

I thought the method payments through POL were bad... and I feel that this is far worse. I got it done, but dear god it's cumbersome for no good reason. Why can't they do like every other company? Add in your info, this payment plan? Click here, and send! You're done! No, select the game, options, add character, go pay first, ok, pay, no sign up for this first, ok, CC number, no approved with verified by visa, try it 10 times, 10th time, oh, there it goes!

All so ridiculous, and for nothing.

To Admin that deleted my post: I was joking -.-.

TC I would double check when your next card statement is issued if the 50 dollars shows up then I'd call ClickandBuy or SE.

If it was only the other day, you can probably still dispute the charge with your credit card company. You'll get your money back.

Do it. Don't let them get away with this ****.

BTW this'll probably get your SE account banned. This sort of thing was going on a lot with FFXI last year.

I don't think you should let them get away with double-charging you, but make sure you've exhausted all your other options before you initiate a chargeback

It sounds like a big hassle but talk to their supervisor and if that doesn't work keep going up the chain till you get satisfaction. If the big buys keep having to answer piddly customer support issues all the time maybe they'll get tired of that crap and fix it. Just being out 12 bucks only encourages them to ram it deeper.

Yeah, I tried that. They sent me up one level in command but they would not transfer me to anyone else after that. "I'm sorry sir, there is no one here that can do anything for you. Is there anything else I can help you with today?" I've quickly come to realize "Is there anything else I can help you with today?" is SE's way of saying "You ain't gonna quit the game, and we ain't gonna go out of our way to help you with your problems, so deal with it."
