well the first day of FFXIV is over, and i must say i like the game from what ive played thus far. However, there does seem to be a few issues at the moment, so what i was thinking is that i would start a list of things that i found so far to be buggy and needs fixing, and you guys could add to it by copy/paste the list. Then someone could forward the list to SE so they can become aware of everything going on. also so we don't have to go through every post :)

so far what i found are:

1) "this target is already engaged" even though it is engaged by you/party
2) party invites don't go through even though the person has the message in chat log
3) linkshell invites don't go through even though the person has the message in the chat log
4) if someone is in your party but out of combat, the game also thinks you are not in combat and drains TP
5) an issue where if you die and get cured fast enough, you will be alive but cannot act until the fight is over, then you die, or if your HP reaches 0 again
6)

If some one is in your party but not in combat the game thinks you are also out of combat and drains your tp.

Friend was crafting in town while I was killing stuff outside Ul'dah. It took a little while to figure out why my tp was draining in combat.

Cure and damage priority seems to be a bit off. actually in the same combat action you can get enough damage to die, but be cured right afterward, you stay standing and in combat position but since your status is already change to K.O. you can't execute any more actions, However your enmity still remains and the enemy will keep hitting you, you will finally die after the combats end or if you HP drops to 0 again.

I happened at least 3 times to me yesterday quite odd.

But I'm more concern about something else... maybe you are right or maybe not, but how could you come to the conclusion in less than 36 hours after the official server launch that this game is undeveloped?

A person I was grouping with tonight had her HP reach zero, immediately got a heal and started to fall over dead, but then popped back up and was able to carry on like normal, lol.

Almost all these things can either be attributed to server congestion or just good old MMO launch-itis (or both). They'll all pass or be fixed Smiley: cool

I noticed on some of the fishing and mining leve quests that only standard physical and job xp was being awarded. At first I thought they just nerfed the xp awarded on leves, but it seems very random.

Occasionally, when fishing I noticed there was no bell like sound when I caught a fish, its also inconsistent.

The actions on the action bar don't seem to change when you change classes. This may have been done on purpose, but I'm not sure its really useful for crafting or field classes. I could see some benefit in the fighting classes though.

I had my sound suddenly cut out while running through town. It was fine for like 3 hours, some during play, some during extended afk periods. Then just up and crapped out for no reason, as it did, it made a weird sudden static-y sound that I've heard from various other sound bugs in other games, though not since getting my new PC.

Logging back to the character selection screen fixed it. I'm not sure if it's an FFXIV issue or an issue with my PC, but if it keeps happening and nobody else gets it, I'll look into checking out my system.

Other than that and a couple typos, things seem fine. Well, unless you count lag as a bug lol... Been seeing all sorts of fluky things that are lag induced, but I'm guessing the cure to that is as simple as having some patients. Could definitely be worse.

I encountered a bug where your stamina bar goes from full to zero if you try to attack a mob when you're just barely out of range. Not a big deal if it's a sure-win fight, but can make things a little dicey on some of those yellow/orange mobs :P

Here's one I just encountered regarding that mob taken glitch:

Started to fight an enemy, its name turned purple instead of red but I could still attack it. Eventually it returned to yellow and I was still attacking it. About halfway down I got an error saying I couldn't attack it and the name turned purple again. Finally, it turned yellow for a moment then changed to red and was finally able to attack again and finish it off.

Another happened the other night: I used an aeytherite (sp?) point to return to camp and when I spawned in I saw only names, no people, everyone (strangely) was under the ground and I only saw their names. People who spawned in after me appeared as normal. I've also been getting some strange glitch where the physics appear to be off. The bottom of my tunic clips into my thigh as I walk/run/draw my weapon. Turning off physics fixes it and turning it back on just makes the problem return.

EDIT: The problem with the enemy name I think might have been because I attacked an enemy just before someone else had a chance. I think the server got confused that they got the claim but still allowed me to attack. Anyway, the taken enemy glitch seems to happen due to server lag, I noticed if I pushed the button to attack too soon it would trigger this. Doing it slow (While annoying.) seems to cause it to happen less frequently.
