Mobs Disengaging & HealingFollow

Is this intended behavior or a bug? Occasionally I'll fight a mob, and it just decides it's going to walk away from me and heal for a bit. I noticed it during beta as well but wasn't sure then either.

Had this as well but only if i played archer, never have it on my gladiator. So it seems like a bug with ranged classes and the mob not engeing correctly.

I had this happen last night with an orange chiglet. The thing would keep running away and gain massive amounts of HP before I could get another spell off. It was quite frustrating and I kept looking at the log for some type of healing move but nada.

I've only played casters so it seems you're correct about ranged being an issue. Have any melee classes had similar issues at all?

This happens on melee classes as well. I'm pugilist and Marauder, its random but, from time to time while fighting, my mob will run away, heal to 50-75% before coming back. Even if you run after it and hit it before it stops on its own, it will still regain HP.

I play archer and its a regular occurance for me, either forcing me to die or to disengage and run to heal also. Think it must be a glitch because they don't regenerate that fast when you've ran off

I've had it happen on both Marauder and Gladiator for sure, probably PUG and LNC as well but I don't recall specifically. From the sounds of things, it hits ranged classes the hardest because the mobs apparently heal a lot more. I've always been in the habit of chasing anything that tries to run away, so the most I've ever really seen healed was about 20% of their life. Bat if it would have been a close fight already before they healed, otherwise it's just more chances at weapon skillups.

tl;dr: if it happens to you (as ranged or melee...doesn't matter) chase the ******...they won't heal as much.

it happens when you drag a mob too far from its roaming area.

You can actually use this to your benefit sometimes (assuming they don't heal so much it's impossible to kill them). You can get some extra Skill Points from them due to you having to do so many more actions.

It's been happening with a lot of mobs to me as well. It has nothing to do with dragging mobs anywhere as it was a mob that spawned right in front of me. (remember the competition is still very fierce right now)

They'll run just far enough away that if you have some sort of ranged weapon you can hit them but they will regain a whole bunch of health. I had other theories why it was happening too, like maybe the level was a little advanced but I was beating it... but it's happened on mobs with the blue marks as well.

I thought it was just a squirrel thing as it usually only happened to me with squirrels, but then I saw it happen with a funguar and a chigoe too.
