You have to mail your items to your FFXI character, and then you can place them on the Auction House there.

Ok. Try writing in sentences, and next time try using the search function. People here agree with you and there are several threads about this.

In the mean time - don't worry about your physical level - it has nothing to do with what level spear you should be using.

And chill out. It will take a while for crafters to get to the point where they are ready to sell upgraded weapons. In the mean time I suggest you find ways of making money so that when you see a better spear you are ready to buy it on the spot.

Raging won't make an auction house appear. So just chill and start accumulating money and looking on people's bazaars.

I keep hearing that you can buy things from Retainers... but I cant find anyone telling you how to do this.

There will be an AH in this game, as without it, the economy is pretty much meaningless.

I would be happier however, if you just quit the game.

To view retainers you have to go to the Market wards.

Gridania its called Lotus Gardens.
Limsa Lominsa its called Southern Islands.
Ul'dah its called The Dunes.

When you approach either of those, Use Menu Teleport.

You will find retainers in there and You browse them how you would browse someones bazaar.

Hope this helps.

You have to go to the zombie dungeons - AKA the market wards. Which city are you in? In Ul'dah they are called the dunes.

When you go in to them you just look on the retainer's bazaars - just like a player bazaar except they are zombies.

They don't need an "AH" as such. If you could somehow search through all available Retainer inventories that would be more than sufficient!

Perhaps in the future, when Mog Houses are implemented you could as your Mog to go look for you (search) and he'd trot off amongst the Retainer wards and come back with what he finds!

Many players agree with you. I'm not saying you're wrong to not like that there isn't an AH. I'm just giving you advice on how to communicate effectively - and how to go about finding a new spear.

It is hard right now because the game just started - in a few more days you'll see a lot of decent EQ in people's bazaars but right now people are generally not high enough in crafts to make your stuff. Also the first batch of things most crafters make will go towards their linkshell friends for the most part.

Aside from the hundreds of posts and arguments about the lack of an ah on these forums since the Beta began, we're now ah fatigued. You will have to wait til November before posting about it again.

Agreed.

There are allready spots that players use as bazaar sectors of each city on my server. While the Zombie Zzone is a poorly implemented replacement for this, the player base finds a work around. Have a stroll around town, some people might be selling what you need in a short while.

Also, low level materials are kind of vague and hard to get hold of, so many crafters are just churning out items for rank points, not for sale. Give it a few days, and you might just see an economic system building up a bit more. Crafters cant supply what they cant see demand for.

The did hide them; it's probably my biggest pet peeve that has not yet been addressed.

However, the ZAM search function is your friend. :P

I agree we need something better than just random browsing in a ward. I spent an hour last night trying to find some new clothes and end I just gave up. If anything they need to rename the wards floors with what they sell. ****, make it so you can upload you goods into system retainer that specifically sells armor, weapons, crystals, and so on.

I read this and laughed really hard.
I am sure there are NPC's and leves that gives weapons and quests . . .
The game just came out people are exploring and this is part of it OP.
Other than that I think the AH thing has been spoken about enough
something will come

That's pretty much what an Auction House is.
