Is this site as fascist as FFXIVCore.com?Follow

I've heard good things from WoW friends and GMs about Zam versus the Curse Network which is a scam and puts keyloggers in their ads.

My IP address was banned from FFXIVCore.com because I put a negative review of the Open Beta in the REVIEWS section of the site.

I'm considering buying the game down the road but I want to see honest discussions bout it first, not fanboy fawning. I want to know what problems it has after OB and then decide for myself if I can live with those problems. However, if any negative comments get deleted, then that's obviously not going to happen.

So far it seems much fairer than FFXIVCore to me, but I haven't been here long.

Check the XIV feedback forum, pretty much everyone had their say about the OB and not much of it was positive.

Seems that things have taken a much more positive turn though (I'm getting the standard edition so can't throw my two cents in on that).

SE do read these forums, I know that much. This site does get the occasional fool, but for the most part people can be objective. I think it's because most people on here came from FFXI, meaning they're used to SE and how they operate, and also are a bit older than what I'd assume to be the norm.

We watch tv and movies all day long and then defer callers to other departments
unless we feel they wanna spend crap tons of money with us :P

ha ha ha ah ha

I'd love to moderate zam, just randomly delete anyones account for my own amusement

I'd have SE level of cx service and that's saying very little ha h aha ha

but seriously y'all do a great job. and Yes ZAM is very democratic when it comes to
people and their opinions. Unless flames go nuts and people get too personal . . .

i wish the first post to this was a simple "yes"

zam has good facts and a mature forum community. theres slight bias if any toward the positive but theres plenty of people who make accounts to dish out the negative

How is this site Fascist, exactly?

EDIT: From what I can see (and admittedly I'm sleepy), it looks like you're describing this website as democratic.

If anything, I'd say it's more of a Republic. Admins get the final say, and only important people (scholars and above) can vote (rate).

All hail Micajah Caesar!

(No idea who Pikko is going to be now...)

I came here first for the FFXI stuff. Stayed for the WoW stuff.

Now I'm here for the FFXIV stuff. That's three more than FFXI. If that's not an endorsement, I don't know what is.

Literally. I really don't know what is.

In that time, I've learned more on this site than any other. Their wiki is fantastic. And their admins are very friendly. Very friendly.

This topic seemed to get way off topic really quickly... from my experience ZAM is more open to critisism, but unless you say one thing nice within said critisism you will get karma bombed to no end :p

I was kinda hoping one of the admins would turn this thread into a one-act play, wherein a bunch of new random admins show up and get into an argument, then they all get fired and come back as non-admins to beg for their jobs back.
The moral is something about the duality of man or whatever, but really it would just trip out the portion of the user base that is completely baked right now.

Use Firefox, install two addons, "Adblock Plus" and "NoScript". With the two of these you'll never catch any bad code from malicious ads.

This has always been a good site especially with Pikko around =) However...

The community on core has many more helpful people in my opinion. This site has too many people more concerned about their "clique" and padding their post counts. With that said the admins here actually do their jobs I just wish they would do a little more to corral the real asshats on this forum in.
