Preparing a laptop for XIVFollow

Will a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 run XIV smoothly? I'm not looking for EXCELLENT graphics, but I don't want them to look crappy and chopped up every few steps either. It's a;
Toshiba Satelitte
AMD Phenom II quad-core
4Gb
500GB HDD 5400rpm

Is this laptop good enough to actually play XIV and such?

Not well. A mobility 5650 is a pretty underpowered card for FFXIV. You may be able to run it, but don't expect much in the line of performance even at the lowest settings. You're really only scraping the bottom of the barrel with it.

Well is a mobility radeon HD 5650 equal or higher than those two cards? Because if that's the case I'll just get this card or something higher. I need a new laptop, but really don't want to spend more than $900, but the price I see is already $1200.

The ASUS G73JH at Best Buy is $1300 and has one of the best mobile GPUs in it. I can run 30+ fps under load at 1080p with highest texture settings with mine (the best buy version is cheaper but only goes up to 1600x900 instead of 1920x1080). You could probably buy a refurbished one for under $1000.

I'd have to go to the store and look for one. The 5650 got a 610 on it's benchmark testing, but the actual list says if the card made the list it can play the game... Ugh.. This sucks...

It probably could get by. If you see one in the store, maybe try to download the benchmark, put it on a flash drive or better yet a cd (they may disable installing drivers for USB drives) and run it on the floor model?

Will this run XIV smoothly?

Or this?

These are really my options here, but I'd like to know if they would all play the game smoothly, horribly, or anything o f the sort. I've read of people playing the game smoothly with an i and GeForce Gt310M, so?
