I am not really complaining, but geez, I am still making different characters because there is a plethora of customization available in comparison to Final Fantasy XI. If I play this game for a long period of time I want my guy to be perfect, ya know? Is anyone else having this same dilemma still?

I left that dilemma on Beta =)......two days before beta close I spent like 3 hours to make the character I liked. I'm glad I did that, cause once I had the game I just cruised through the options!

*Good Luck!! =D

Not really, I brought my XI char directly into XIV. XD But yeah, if you aren't sure what you want, you can be in there for weeks (but presumably that's a good thing so you're at least a little more likely to be "unique" compared to XI where there were only 128 different faces (and then the few height options)).

As long as you have some idea in your head (even if you can't put it down in writing before you start, just something where "you'll know it when you see it") and have a race in mind then it's probably not too daunting a task to create a character. But if you really aren't sure, the sheer plethora of options can be overwhelming I'm sure. ^^;
FFXI: Triane [Caitsith], Retired
DRK75, THF75, RDM71

FFXIV: Triane Rhiga [Besaid]
Pugilist, Marauder, Fisher

you must not have played many games. the customization options are pretty few.

good thing I was able to find some that I really liked , hopefully I don't find many clones of me.

Very happy that the character I made in beta was saved locally so I could reuse his settings at launch.
