I'm trying to toy around with the party system and can't seem to even figure out how to invite people? The only way I know how is if they're standing in front of me. How do I invite someone in the same zone but maybe a little bit away? Also, what is the limit on distance with inviting?

As of right now you can only invite people into a party who are close.

However -

You can create a party in the menu and allow people to join it. This way you can tell people to do a search for your party and they can join through their menu.

go here it explains it better toward the end.

I love this game, but partying is incredibly frustrating. No inviting at a distance, you can't even see your members on the map so if one runs off you have no clue where he is. I know they don't want this to be FFXI-2, but they really screwed up by not borrowing more from FF11 or at least making a good system.

It wasn't the developers that wanted the game released this early, it was the money suits. A LOT will be fixed within the next two months. Hang in there :)

Seems like /invite PersonsName should be a command included in the game.

But noooooooo can't have things done in a logical, easy to use format.

We got to a camp that I thought would work for 3 people and were actually doing quite well for ourselves. At least partying is fun and works. It's just annoying to setup.

I'm a little confused by something. When mobs are dieing it seems like sometimes I'm getting Conjurer points twice. My log said I got 150 for example, THEN 100. Is this just lag and I got 100 for doing an action and 150 total? Or did I actually get 150 and 100 on top of that? I had never seen the lower number be the last one, usually they add up to the total of points you received.

Edit: It's definitely a party bonus, and actually partying seems very time efficient. I like what I'm seeing =)
