Hey i was wondering for the 2nd main stream quest story, whats the benefit of becoming a pirate or not becoming one?

Why would you want to spoil the story for yourself?

If you want to be a pirate, be a pirate..
If you want to be a gunslinger (or whatever those guys were called) then be one of those..

i think he is trying to make sure he won't miss out on some item/faction-whatever that can only be obtained by doing one option or the other.

and since i don't know the benefits of either choice i wouldn't mind knowing aswell.
