Retainer SuggestionFollow

In case you didn't notice yet the retainer system is not really making up for the fact there is no auction house, so my suggestion is we should have our own system for organizing the market ward area, When you first teleport to the market ward you get a list to choose a sub zone (First Syntgoht Ward, Second Syntgoht Ward...etc...etc) why don't we agree for example:
make the 1st ward contain retainers selling crafting materials only while the 2nd ward will be selling Melee Weapons and so
on...It will really save the hassle of browsing every retainer on all those different wards.

So do you think could this work?

Only if they're willing to give me about 10 retainers for free to place one in each zone instead of just one. And even then I'd probably still prefer a search function.

For someone leveling all the crafting classes and gathering classes, it would not work out with only one retainer.

A search function would be the simplest way, and would offer more functionality than just having separate wards for materials and weapons, like you suggested, because what if I'm looking for just conjurer wands, but not staves? Opening up a zone with all the weapons in it wouldn't really save me much time, since there are around a dozen weapon classes.

Everyone knows it's not working out well as is, and SE is working on a solution.

The biggest problem with trying to organize it in the community (rather than having SE organize and state "Zone X is meant for <blah>") is getting word to everyone and getting everyone to agree.

Unfortunately, it's still going to be a far cry from the usefulness of a working AH. I don't mind games where you have to check each shop individually (I usually end up making money because of the poor organization), but it does take away from playable time, and given the current lag of the interface, it makes it a step above "painful chore" (and organizing things isn't going to change how clunky the interface is).
