So basically we're at: There's no proof there is a 50 already and the highest confirmed player is right on track with where my beta character was at about the same time and surplus slamming it. What was the problem?

Your beta character was at rank 30 conjurer, rank 18 thaumaturge and rank 16 goldsmith along with other classes ranked up all in 4 days? I somehow doubt that.

Here's the proof: http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com/rc/character/status?cicuid=1081396

I can't understand how SE hasn't even adressed the issue yet. Least they could do is release a statement saying its an exploit and that if people use it they will be banned. Right now im betting TONS of people are going to exploit it figuring that since its so early if they get banned they can just make a new character or register a new account. Its a risk tradeoff. you take the risk of getting banned, which isn't a huge risk because its a new game Vs. the benefit of being rank 50 within a week of the game coming out and saving 100s or 1000s of hours of gameplay.

I don't think its right to ban them, i know some one already mentioned it earlier in this post it's not the player's fault its the game mechanism

by the way rank 30 in 4 days may be possible.
I'm almost rank 18 marauder but im also rank 14 wood, rank 14 botany, and rank 7 leather.
I'm phys level 23
I've got enough mats to push wood to 20 and leather to 13-15, mainly because ive been farming a lot.
If i woulden't have farmed or done botany and just focused on marauder id prob be around 25 (i was 20ish in the open beta so i know how much time it takes). If I could pull off 25 in 4 days while sleeping and occasionally going out, im sure if 2 ppl took turns playing (playing 24/7) they could pull off rank 30. However I am rank 17 atm and in "surplus" mode already, so I could see that as a barrier. On the other hand ive been in surplus mode for over 11000 rank exp and it hasnt really made me feel like im levelling slower, so who knows how that works.

So what im sayin is if someone got the game on tuesday when servers went up and played 24/7 and the surplus didnt exist or is glitched, rank 30 is believable.

Lol, what benefit? I seriously doubt there is much to do at level 50 atm.

Isn't the whole idea of an MMO to develop your character anyway? I wouldn't want to 'save 100's or 1000's of hours of gameplay', i'd rather enjoy the game and take my time.

I've only been endgame in one MMORPG, Warhammer Online, and in that game the endgame was the focus. It was also definitely the best part of the experience. The PvP is what most people liked from that game, but I actually loved the endgame single party dungeons they had. There were some pretty epic encounters in them.

I'm not saying endgame isn't great, it is. I know that. I'm just saying I doubt there is anything to do at endgame in ffxiv at the moment. I can see how I didn't explain it that well though.

Probably not much. I just hope they had the sense to put in at least two or three good dungeons. If not I guess I'll be crying till they add some lol.
