Targeting is a complete nightmareFollow

Im currently playing a healer and there is no easy way to target group members to heal them when they are dieing. The F keys don't select group members, TAB key just cycles through randomly, up and down arrows get you there eventually but the lag in doing it this way is such that the person dies long before you can target.

I don't even bother trying to target the mob and do dmg in between heals as the re-targeting just isn't worh the hassle. I can get on fine with this game if i solo, but as soon as i join a grp i just find it too frustrating to target anything.

Help pls !!!

Uhh... dude. if I remember correctly, you can use your mouse to select the cure spell so it does AoE.

Therefore, you don't need to target anyone. 1 cure spell, everyone within range gets healed.

Theres this green box. Move your mouse over and click it, it should make your cure AoE.

But the problem is, once you click it, all spells will become AoE too.

This was a big problem for me in open beta until I figured it out. I use To cancel all the way out until I could Target other players. Now what I do which made it infinitely easier was to lock onto the mob like I was going to attack and then when I select cure, a secondary purple circle target comes up. The secondary purple circle only moved to and from party members. Put the purple target circle on party member to be healed and confirm.

I play using a 360 gamepad though and also set right shoulder button to toggle aoe. Hope this helps.

using your mouse to target your target is very hard when not only do you have alot of things in your way, but you also have moving targets. its just too difficult to cycle through everything and tedious to have to TRY and click your target. i dont get why people are so against using F keys the way they have been used for so long in all of online gaming.
F1-11 for party pls and F12 for enemy thank you.

How did you do that? I am also using a 360 controller and this would help lots.

The emote button triggers AoE on a controller.

Nuit Midril - White Mage/Scholar on Ultros
Nuit the Insane! - Retired Druid on Sentinels.
Ombre - Retired Dragoon/bard on Phoenix.
