They still can't figure out the times. Just read the message in-game. They said it's 2:00 PDT / 5:00 GMT, which is not the same. They're like 5 hours off. *lol*

I guess they never heard of Windows 7 and its nifty secondary clock. Works wonders. So I guess it's maintenance in a bit? Because it's long been 5:00 GMT.

Not today, come back another time (and sorry for the inconvenience). Wonder what exactly they're going to fix though. Hopefully we'll get a patch...patches are always yummy (and do one thing or another).

Let's hope that if that's what this maintenance is about, they do it in a smart way.

I just want them to fix my On character Bazaar.... it's messed up and I can't use it to sell anything, in fact anything placed in it disappears... but my character shows as having a bazaar yet when people look it's empty... killing the sales department.

I liked that the little message to notify you of the maintenance when you log on still called it the beta test.

When is this maintenance due then? I can't seem to load the Lodestone to check. By the times given on that update it has already occurred?

Yeah, FFXIV's going to be one of the few games to have their first major ban wave less than a week into live. If I recall, FFXI is one of the few games to have a ban list as long as their player list, if not longer.

Id think that would be bad business, consider the Standard Edition hasnt even dropped yet. Sure expect a patch and possibly a rollback, but bans? Before the game has even hit the ground? Id be astonished.

That's just how SE rolls. They don't need money from cheating scum, unlike some companies.

If they do rollback it will only be those conjurers that have used the exploit to level up. It wont be the whole community.

I can't imagine they'd have a rollback. Surely they aren't that terrible. Not to mention that it'd basically erase the main benefit of buying the CE. If they have to do a rollback to fight exploiters, that'd be sad.

Consider that at some point you'll want to change gear AND actions and you'll see it gets WAY deeper than the knees. If that feature is EVER going to be functional they will need to give us unlimited macro length or allow windower scripts. As is, its not even remotely close to cutting it. They probably never intended for you to switch more than weapons on the fly, haha.

Assuming thats is a serious question... A roll back is something like restoring from a backup. Example if they rollback to friday morning.. it will load from the backup all ur progress till friday morning everything after is... GONE!

SE will not do a roll back in game. People played the game the way SE programmed it. SE testers didn't find it inhouse. THey should of had Heal exp in beta and this would never of happend.

Thats just my opinion, i could be wrong.

Also i am not playing a Magic class so this doesn't affect me at all.

I was thinking more along the lines of Mythic, many F2P MMO companies, Activision, and Microsoft, but close enough.
Point is that SE could run this game free of charge and still make an overall yearly profit from their console games alone, not to mention toys, movies, and so forth.

Or you know, a more likely and logical reason for the maintanence would be to fix the

Current known issues

Rather than randomly banning people in game that hasn't even been officially released yet.

Dang, just when im back from work XD
JP prime time, must really be a big issue. I thought i would be ok living in japan be seems not after all XD
Didnt even notice the exploit, dunno if people on figaro knew about it tbh...

well I guess i will have diner and study my CFA meanwhile, more time to play after !

I sure wish for a rollback for all the people who used the exploit to balance things (a ban may be overdoing it that early, it is after all their fault not to have noticed the bug before)
I sure hope they wont do a roll back for everybody, but I would really be surprised if they did at that point lol.

I doubt that would require emergency server maintenance. Just seems to be two things that can be fixed by a simple update without maintenance required.

interesting.. i was wondering if the guys who made Equipmant Equipment Macro Manager would make an ffxiv version.. that app became a must for my bst with 2 sets of gear, emergency/party accessories and next level gear for long grind sessions where i wouldnt have time to run back for gear... oh and food..

Probably not, seeing as rumor is that SE has already told the makers of Windower to back off or face the consequences when it comes to FFXIV.

My hours of farming tonight agree... But then again like others said if they rollback just for that exploit, they would have to roll back several days for it to be worth doing. So let's hope they see the error in that idea.

that's a shame.. SE doesnt get it then.. i understand the need to protect your property, especially the community by blocking potentially game hacking software.. but after so many people have downloaded the windower and equipmant oh and the ffxi firefox plugin you would think SE would think "hmmm maybe these are features we should consider implementing.. "

especially the macros.. one has to think there are some imaginative people out there that could use a lengthy macro list

i havent even looked into storage or what my max carry slots are etc..

That would be a nice fringe benefit of maintenance to have. Similar to NM timers and spawns resetting in FFXI.

It didn't last maintenance though some people thought it did. The leve reset happened a couple hours before the maintenance. I grabbed my 8 and did a few...but after maintenance it didn't reset again.

Next reset is around 15 hours from now anyway...
