Has anyone seen any further clarification on these? As in:

1) Are they permanent
2) Can only THAT class use them? (ex) Blacksmith has an ability to increase fire crystal rate. Could a Marauder use that?)
3) Anything really, I'm interested in this subject and see practically nothing around!

AFAIK you can equip any ability/trait to any class.
If the ability increases fire crystal drop rate it would be silly to limit it to blacksmith, you can't kill much stuff with rocks.

Ewoks and cavemen would disagree with you.

Nope, plenty of abilitys are class specific ex: Tranquility or discipline specific ex: Brand of Fire.

In regards to the specific ability the OP was asking about, I'm assuming you're refering to Brand of Fire. This ability can be used by any DoH (Armorer, Carpenter...) but not by DoW, DoM or DoL. Also, it doesn't do quite what you think. It doesn't increase rate of crystal/shard drops, it improves the stability of the fire element while crafting. You see, it's possible for an element to become 'unstable' while crafting, possibly resulting in an explosion (or something catastrophic, can't remember the exact term) causing a very large portion of duribility to be taken away. This ability helps to prevent that in the case of the fire element.

Hope that helps.

Yes Behr that did.

I'm still confused on if they are permanent enhancements though.

If I spend 6K GM on Brand of Fire, do I get it forever?

I can't answer that for sure, as I haven't aquired one as of yet. However, I'm reasonably certain it is permanent.

I think this is the funniest thing I've ever read on this forum. I have a somewhat related question to abilities. I went to the Conjurer's guild, and some ability's names were in white and others yellow. I couldn't figure out why, does anyone know?

Better question is how do you join the guilds. I'm level 15 miner. I saw a level 11 miner with a different pick. He said he joined the guild and got it. Every site I've read doesn't explain how to join a guild.

They should be permanent. When you trade Guildmarks for the abilities, they become available under the class weapon they are for, so... I don't know for sure, but I would assume they are.

Stupid question: has anyone figured out how to earn Guild Marks for Desciples of War and magic yet?
