This Thread Has a Winner, Read For Educational Purposes Only

I'm an American, I purchased the CE US version. I wanted the tumbler and I was willing to pay a few dollars for it, but EBay prices have jumped drastically on it... And then I realised I missed the true crack imbued item for me... the cloth map. As a PC RPG gamer since the SSI D&D Goldbox days... ok we'll skip to the important part, I'm a sucker for maps.

Yesterday I found the EU CE version for the equivilant of 35 bucks from a brick and mortar store in Ireland, it shipped this morning and I should have it tomorrow.

Assuming it shows up unopened and new as advertised, I'll have a registration code for the full version of the game to give away if some one wanted the free 30 days and lived in the EU region that the code would work for. Obviously for that to work you'd have to have a friend with the disc or do it the less safe way and look for an ISO. I would be willing to mail the game in it's case along with the bonus disc, but it's going to cost and I don't want this to become a for sale thread.

I'm going to offer the Onion Helm to my potential LS first, but if no one takes it I'll update this thread later with a chance at the code for it.

So how do you get the 30 days free and registered code from me? Any UK/EU or anyone who thinks they want to pay more than USD for a monthly sub can post the following...

A LINK TO YOUR FAVORITE THREAD ON ZAM IN THE XIV SECTION AND A QUICK SENTANCE OR SO ON WHY. ONE LINK PER PERSON ONLY PLEASE. I WILL CHOOSE THE PERSON I THINK MOST CAPTURES THE INTENDED ESSENCE OF WHAT I THINK THE ZAM COMMUNITY IS ABOUT (I know, subjectively vague huh?). WINNER WILL BE CHOSEN UPON THE UNBOXING OF THE GAME WHICH WILL HAPPEN NO SOONER THAN 1600HRS GMT WED 29 SEPT(London GMT NOT SE's GMT).

Admins/Mods etc... if this sort of thread isn't allowed, feel free to lock and/or delete it. I'm not attempting to gain anything here and the only way I will accept any money from the winner is if they want the physical disc, and even then I will only be asking for the shipping fee's. I would offer to send a copy of any PM interactions between myself and the winner, but as a mod on another site I know you can check my PMs if you feel I'm violating the T&Cs of the site any way.

I got it in today, no takers?

BTW it's extremely odd, the box is so muchh smaller for the EU version yet has so much more stuff. The Journal is ALOT nicer. I wouldn't even think about writing in it. I took some pics to compare the two side by side but my upload is being dodgy at the minute. But the map is very nice even if it serves no purpose.

I'll bite, would like to save a friend of mine some dosh.

I like this thread as it encaptures the initial hope and faith we had in the game. I still remember getting all excited thinking this will be FFXI v2 and sharing my excitement with my old buddies from FFXI. Good times.

If no one responds in 2 hours it's yours. Assuming no response I'll send you a PM to see if you want the unopened game package and the security key thingy shipped.

This threads officially done, Sylph wins it by... default ^.^

Seriously I'm just glad some one can benefit from my lack of sense and thrift.
