SLI / XFire Follow

Hello all,

I know SLI or XFire is not currently supported in FFXIV.

I am wondering if anyone was using the feature AFR(Alternate Frame Rendering). It forces one card to render the alternate frames.

Has anyone played with their SLI / XFire settings to try and get things working?

I have everything maxed and running 60FPS constantly no matter what. I would like to bump my AA from 8x to 16xQ, which is why I would love SLI to work.

Just wondering and thanks to all in advance for the helpful responses.

I forced SLI in windowed mode via the nvidia control panel and use shiftwindow to remove borders and title bar.

Everything 'looks' full screen as well as giving me access to my second monitor, have higher fps, 50/50 work share, and cards run much cooler.

This thread had a way to force it in nVidia, but I don't know what you need for Crossfire.

I have seen that link but its for drivers for 258.XX. I use 260.63 beta drivers.

If I recall when I used AFR to force card #2 to render the alternate frames; it did nothing but put the equivalent load on the second card with no benefit.

i have posted this almost every time i see this same topic. Crossfire does work with FFXIV but not completly right yet, i get about 20 FPS more using this work around found here.

i rarely drop below 60 fps with max setting using the above Technic with crossfire.
