Hello All,

I'm really wanting to play FFXIV tomorrow when it's release and have a Gamestop gift card to use up. Based off of the "Can U Run It?" website my laptop measures between meeting the minimal to recommended specs. I play AoC, Aion, WoW just fine. I'm not looking to be able to max out settings or anything like that I just want to be able to get my fix! I have used the official benchmark and scored low, really I'm just looking for an opinion on whether I should put my faith in what "Can U Run It?" says. Thanks in advance for any input,

If you can play AoC at higher settings you should be able to play XIV at the lowest. I'm only guessing though as hardware and drivers can have varying results even if the hardware specs are similar.

lol that site is funny. It says I fail the required CPU because I don't have a i7 2.66 ghz or faster. My cpu is an i7 quad core at 3 ghz :P

From my experience it's a reasonable estimation which has never been wrong for me! If you are particuarly worried, mind, feel free to throw up your dxdiag and i'm sure between the lot of us we can work it out :P.

I'm not entirely sure everything I need to list but Pentium Dual Core 2.2ghz which I know isn't fantastic.
Video card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330. Memory 4,000 RAM. Like I said not looking to max out settings, if I have to play at bare minimum that'd be fine for the meantime. Thanks for the responses so far!

I beleave you should beable to run it on minimum settings, but it could lag alot.

That is because it checks shared graphics memory as well as dedicated.

Most graphics cards have shared memory as well as the 512MB your card says.

However shared graphics memory is pretty much useless if you play games, on the box for a card or on the box for a pc it usually only says how much dedecated memory it has, unless its a laptop that doesnt have a dedecated graphics card.

Everyone's experience on playing this game right now is 70% PC compatibility and 30% SE Game engine or lack of optimization.
