I know it did but just posting this BETA review at release means you are just as bad as everyone crying about what the game is like now, JUST BE @#%^ING PATIENT AND STOP Q.QING ABOUT THE GAME.
Yes its bad now we know from the 5 million posts about it WE DONT NEED TO HEAR THE SAME **** THINGS OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
I don't see many posts about all the brand new features, content additions or userfriendly additions being added to the game from the beta phase.
If anything, the general vibe i get so far is that aside from a few bug fixes and the hardware mouse that beta is release.
Oh, unless you are subscribing to the "oh but the CE release isnt the real release!" in which case i will paraphrase an older post on the matter:
All you people who say "stop being so critical, it's only the beta!" will shortly be saying "stop being so critical, it's only CE release" followed by "stop being so critical, it's only the release of the game, give it a few months" followed up with "stop being so critical, the game has only been out for 6 months, mmo's take a year or more to mature" and finishing up with "guys?"
And really, mmo reviews in general are about form and function. A reviewer cannot spend the weeks to months leveling, gearing and then running the full scope of the content of the game. Its just not practical time wise. If some reviewer gives the game a bad review, its generally not because of anything related to a beta or release style issue (ie, some bugs, lag, etc), its about the fundamentals of the game which rub them wrong.
Edit: and reading through that linked review, it's negative points are exactly that - fundamental game mechanics which are not present now, nor will they be changed / added for a few months (if ever). Edited, Sep 29th 2010 9:06pm by KacesofCaitsith
