question on specifics of xp capFollow

Does anyone have any specific knowledge on the weekly XP cap?

My question is, as soon as I log in, am I running down the XP timer?
Since the cap only affects one job, to most efficiently level a job, should I run with a job I don't care about until the moment I'm about to make a lot of xp and then switch?

I'm interested in picking this game up, but I'm worried about whether I'm going to have to game the system to stay competitive.

Hmm, this fatige system is way overblown imo
From Wednesday last week to Sunday, I played about 12h/day (had some vacation to burn ^^). during that time at no point did I feel I was being hold back by the system (aside from the lack of Ah to find material to craft ^^)
I was maybe lvl 14 pug, 14 mineur 10 smith and 12 goldsmith at that point.
You can play however long you want so long as you vary a bit what you are doing, pretty well balanced imo.

Regarding your specific question, I can't answer since I haven't felt the fatigue effect so far ;)

So I'm guessing this fatigue timer doesn't kick in until you're actually making XP? I would hate to think that I'm blowing my XP time by fishing before I've leveled. For that matter, would I be wasting XP time by fishing in between leveling?

You get xp as you fish though, so yes it is working towards your cap as far as I know, however I do not know of ANYONE who has hit the cap yet
