I'm finding that the evasion related skills are quite useless at the moment. I've tried a number of point allocations to different various attributes to try and boost my ability to evade and nothing seems to work for evasion.... I think evasion is mostly going to be determined by what you are up against.

From playing around, DEX is hit accurancy and increases critical hit damage (I did not see ANY increase in regular attack damage with DEX). STR effects the strength of your regular attack. I think STR also a multipler for DEX. The more STR you have the greater damage range you're going to have when doing your crits. VIT -- everyone knows about it's HP and defence.

I would say at first, focus on STR more than DEX because your over all damage is going to be higher, then when you get into harder mobs you are going to want to quickly start investing most of it in DEX so you hit the things and then VIT. But don't forget about VIT... as the mobs get harder you will need to stay alive long enough to kill the thing....

I experimented with a lot of high vit over STR and DEX and it did work fairly well in some situations, but it took forever to kill mobs esp the hard ones... this isn't a bad way to go really since you get more skill points for killing the hard mobs since its not really all about your physical level. its also a good way to go if theres no mobs left to kill cause the zones are so flooded with other players.. most going after the easy stuff so spec up for the really hard stuff and have at it!!!!!

I was going to have Lancer as my main, but find that Pug does amazingly well soloing with Con and Thaum leveled a bit as well. You can even use Lancer abilities (like skewer) to take out an entire group in one hit (which is kinda messed up if you think about it, lol). I'm considering using Pug as my main soloing, and Lancer for while I'm in parties.

What evidence do you have that DEX boosts critical strike damage? This is the first that I have heard this...
