Wonder if the "emergency maint" is them switching over from the beta servers to servers that can actually handle the load of the live game... One can hope.

I just want to not have to wait 15min before i can log back in after a timeout... They should be able to detect you attempting to log in again and timeout the **** character so we can log back in when this happens.

Ugh indeed. However I feel sorry for everyone who's waited on their SE's turning up today, getting home from work/uni/school and finding the heart crushing maint. message.
Although the updates so far haven't taken all the time they said they would.

It's one of the longer (longest?) maintenence I've seen posted since launch, isn't it?

I wonder if this is going to address crafting.

Log in a different character. It knocks the other offline.

Dev1: No, really, it's today. Wait, you did upload the 6GB patch, right?

No doubt the maint will be addressing the synth trouble yesterday and maybe bolstering servers. Although IMO that should have been done yesterday.

Just after JP primetime and enough of a gap before NA primetime. Good choice, SE.

It'll be something a bit more significant. It's a 4 hours emergency maintenance on launch day. You don't do that to fix a little bit of synthing trouble (though they might do that while they're at it).

This is Final Craftasy 14. Its not a "little bit" its the basis of the entire game.

That's a fairly good point. Maybe it's the rumoured big patch. Perhaps the revised wards. Personally I pray it's the class quests. Or any quest content.

I'm confused. I haven't hit level 20 yet with any of my jobs.. but I've been told countless times that class quests start at 20. Sounds kind of conflicting.

Leves that provide class guild marks start at level 20 zones (which you can get starting at rank 13. At least for gladiator. Dunno about others.) But theres no actual "quests". Just leves.

I have a feeling its not because it is an emergency maint. I feel like if they were adding a bunch of content they would've warned us of this maintenance.

This is no longer 'Emergency'.

Should be fixed to say 'Daily'.

Neat, I haven't heard anything about class quests. I'm striving to hit lv20 fisher before maintenance begins, I'll be looking for more info on this.

Agreed, I'm sure they would've had something posted at least a day in advance if there was going to be a version update and added content. I definitely noticed the crafting problem, gave up alchemy to fish until maintenance, so hopefully they fix that. Perhaps fix or remove the door to the Ul'dah adventurers guild? I get 'trapped' in that place all too often. The list goes on...

It would be funny if tons of low level content was added.

Even though I would be slightly PO'ed, I'd still welcome it.

This is good. I was on late last night (around 2pm EST) and the game was bugging out on me. Probably from the influx of the standard edition crowd.

FAT CHANCE!... But I do hope they fix the lag and synthesis, and maybe put in a inventory sorting.... And double click to open Bazaars... And a repeat synthesis button.... And a list of recipes when you get them as rewards... And a whole lot of other stuff.... Oh god...

For those that have questioned about the "class quests" go to your journal the first drop down box select quests (not regional leves) then open second drop box. You'll see categories for every job. Suggesting actual quests for the guilds. But yes at lvl 20~ leves are available that grant you guild marks as a reward instead of Gil. Hope this clears it up. IMO these quests can't come quick enough as the main questline is too spaced apart for my liking and I really try to stay away from grinding after many years on xi I wanted this to be a fresh start.

9am-1pm PST
10am-2pm MST

12pm-4pm EST

Also does anyone know what it is for? I do hope it was for the crafting. Seemed on all successful snyths the durability was still getting shot to **** :(

I feel for the EU players, but don't forget the previous patch landed on US prime time. I couldn't get on until midnight last patch.

SE will take turns giving everyone the cold shoulder, except the JP. They still don't know what maintenance even is.
