Ok, so i contacted Square-Enix through email and they sent an email back saying....
Thank you for contacting the Square Enix Support Centre.
The code for the in-game item comes from the retailer you bought the game from not Square Enix and it should not have been in the box it should have been seperate from the game. Please contact the retailer.
