Good afternoon!

I've been wondering if any of you have had the opportunity to establish a solid enough group to take on one of the Battlewarden fights? We tried one duo and well, we got stuffed like a turkey. Obviously meant for a larger group! Curious to see if anyone has beaten this and what sort of rewards are given after completing one.

I'm planning on attempting to establish a group this weekend to try one or two and see how it goes but also looking for any tips or information relating to these sorts of fights.

I did one at a level 10 camp...Bentbranch I think it is, outside of Gridania. All I got was some gold. Not worth doing imo. So far the most efficient thing I have found is....go solo grind.

I solo'd the first half of the one at Camp Black Brush as THM9. You don't even have to kill the targets - or be in a party with the people kill them - just accept and Heal or something from the back. I was able to kill some the of the lesser mobs while I healed a Maurderer who was fighting the Sand Yarzon.

Never tried another.

You can do the ones at the 1st camp solo no problem...just like the leves they get increasingly difficult, but you can gauge them by the level of camp you're at. I'd like to do more them myself...haven't been fighting as much in retail though...

They reward you with some gil and whatever skill/exp you gain during the fights. That's about it.

I was able to solo up to the boss on the skull valley one. But difficulty scales as more people join. You should be able to duo/trio the entire thing with a healer and melee.

I did one with a group of about 5-6 last night. Dunno how much difference there is in difficulty between group play, and solo/low man efforts. But we didn't have much issue. 30 min to kill like 15-20 mobs total.

I need to work this into my daily rotation. I spent up almost all my Guardian favor, and need to replenish badly. On that note, does anyone know if 200 is the cap, or can you continue to build a buffer on Favor?

I went days in beta without logging on and my favor was still 200 when I came back. 200 seems to be the cap (at least for now).

Wow lots of responses very quickly, oh how I've missed you Zam community =).

Alright, well looks like I'll have to give this another shot and maybe try not sucking, as it appears these are rather easy, according to all of you!

I'll try one tonight and post results as well.

I think of it as a small scale besieged type event... the main difference being that when you engage a mob, other groups can't attack it. Kinda an interesting way to promote party play. Btw, these are called Behests. I can't really tell if they spawn at random, or if there is a set timer on them.

I did one at Camp Brentbranch (Rank1-9 in Gridania).

No one was partied up, just random people doing random things.

The mobs tag to the first person to do damage to them, no one else can help (unless partied).

The first set of mobs are just normal difficulty, easy as pie.

After you finish the kill list though a 'boss' mob/mobs spawn and they are significantly harder. I wasn't able to tag them, a lancer had, but I kept him healed (and he needed it). Zero skill ups from that btw since we were not parited.

The reward was a couple hundred gil, not worth the time at all.

It would probably be a lot better in an actualy party.

Great information on these Behests! Our linkshell spent a little bit of time looking for some Battlewarden's in the Ul'Dah region but we didn't find any, despite seeing them earlier, or so we thought.

Must have been due to someone else already doing them prior to us showing up... Will try and do one with the max amount of people and post results tomorrow or Saturday.
