Succesful grouping achieved!!!Follow

I put together a group .... was a Archer(14/18) Glad(14/18) Conj(16/18) THM(15/18). We were killing the Red Clippers north of Bloodshore. Each person in the party stated that we averaged around 250-400 Class points per mob and 400xp per mob. We had zero down time and killed mobs around 45sec-1min 20sec per mob. This game is not the same as FFXI partying unforntaly. But it seems that smaller 3-4 person groups seem to have most effenciey.

Grats! I'm really hoping people will find a way to start partying together successfully.

I'm tired of playing by myself. D=

after about 16+ i've noticed that it's transitioning into party play. I can't really solo on my 18 conj without extremely long, dangerous fights with over half of the time healing myself, but when I duo with my glad friend or trio with a lancer, we destroy everything with zero down time, low gear damage, and (i personally get crazy exp because i heal a lot)

It's also so much more fun than killing dodo, wait 10 minutes, kill dodo.

No offense it takes you 10 minutes to kill a dodo?

On that note, I find that duo or trio parties work the best so far in ffxiv.

I'm assuming they are including a mp refresh skill into the recoup time?

I was duo-ing with a friend last night, getting around 6k xp per hour.

If you do it right, partying in this game goes swimmingly. Takes study!

In FFXI being in a party really made no sense until you were LV 8 or higher. Then you could go into your "second zone" with a couple of people and work your way into common party spots, like the dunes.

I don't want to play an MMO to solo everything. If that's the case I'd just pick up a single player RPG. It ticked me off in FFXI when I was using my DRG and everyone was like "just go solo that" Sure I could have, but the idea (at least I thought) was to play along side other adventurers.

I'll admit that I was getting worried reading here how people are getting so high in rank & level and being in a party is useless. Sadly I can't play till it's on PS3 in March, but the idea that I have to wait till March to hear "just go solo that" again wasn't making things any better.

I'm glad to see that being in a party is starting to work out. I'm excited that someone said higher levels are geared towards party play, and I've heard from people I know IRL who are playing that grouping is fun and has benefits for everyone when done right.

i think why people have problems is because most parties ive seen are like maxed out and mobs not lastin long enough
