Hello,

I just got the game and finished installing. But it won't let me play as whenever I start it up, it crashes... Heres what the log gave me

Faulting application name: ffxivgame.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4ca10e11
Faulting module name: msvcrt.dll, version: 7.0.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bda6f
Exception code: 0xc0000005

Can anyone help please! T_T

Sounds similar to the issue I was having when I first installed. Do you have the beta installed? After stressing over the possibility of it being a driver issue, I was suggested by a friend to uninstall the beta and retail versions. Then, he suggested that I open my My Documents folder and delete the remnant files left from the uninstall process. After I did that, I rebooted and reinstalled. It worked.

I hope it helps.

SE said you should uninstall the Beta client first anyway, or else it might cause you some problems. You don't have to delete the remnants of the Beta though because that's where things like your saved character data is stored if you intended to reuse that.

Hi,

What are your system specs? I have seen a lot of posts like these from people trying to run the game on integrated video chipsets and underpowered video cards. Check the minimum requirements. It could also be a software, driver, and/or DirectX issue. Further information is required to better help you.

My Laptop model is a HP G72-250

Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
Processor Speed 2.26 GHz
Processor Name Intel Core i3 M350
RAM 4 GB
Graphics Card Intel GMA HD
Storage Capacity (as Tested) 320 GB
Networking Options 802.11n

Not sure if this info is enough, but should be able to find more specs from the model. I'm not super PC saavy but hopefully this helps.

Hi again,

I'm sorry but you'll need a hardware upgrade to play the game. All of Intel's graphics solutions are integrated. They can decode HD video but that is the extent of their abilities. For gaming you'll need a discrete graphics card.
