So, it's the second Friday since release (first for some too) so what are your gaming targets for the weekend?

As for me, First I'll get the new set of leves done when I get home tonight. Following that, I plan to do some crafting in the hope of getting Leatherworker, Weaver and Armorer to rank 10+.

Then a bit of grinding Saturday on Pugilist and Marauder with the hope of hitting ranks 18 and 10 respectively.

Moving onto Sunday, I will probably be spending most of the day browsing retainers trying to buy stuff.

Might just want to plan to have that last part be your whole weekend. You're looking at some pretty hardcore grinding if you want to hit those numbers in a weekend.

This afternoon, I'm inviting my sister and my baby nephew over to play on the game. She can't run it on her computer. :) We'll have snacks and stuff so it'll be a little FFXIV party.

I'll play for several hours on Saturday and Sunday. Hooray for play! :D

I have no real plans for expectations for this weekend. I will pay a little tonight, Play most of the day Saturday, and the morning and early afternoon Sunday. I have no plans on what I want to level, where I want to go, or what I want to do. I'm going to log in and go with the flow.

I refuse to let this game eat me alive like FFXI did. I just won't have it. I'm going to enjoy and take time to smell the roses.

I plan to grind out my half a rank to go from THM 21.5 to 22. Will do rank 20 leves tonight first, then finish up the remaining SP to 22. After that, I think I'll work on getting weaving as high as I can, as i want to make a new set of clothes, monsters are starting to hit pretty hard.

I have decided that since I'm focusing on crafting to get as many crafts leveled to 10 as I can. Short term order: culinarian, leatherworker, weaver.

Depends what ranks she's at now, but yeah if she just started, I agree :)

For me I have work, some family/neighbor hood BBQ to help with, and most importantly I have to treat the girlfriend. She's been ignored since last Wednesday. Even though she was expecting this I'd better give her a at least tonight and tomorrow as a consolation. That is unless I don't want to lose my "bedroom" privileges...

On the plus side I am now bazaar'n the mass of crystal/shards I have farmed while grinding Archer, Pug, Gld, and Lancer from 9-12. Already made almost 140k just over night it looks like. Still have a good 500+ left on most shards and close to a 100 a stack on crystals. I may drop prices on some of the crystals in the morning though. As hard as they are to come by I thought 2k a pop and 1k for earth was reasonable. Are crystals not needed as much in crafting or something?

Crystals are not as necessary in crafting for the most part. I know of recipes that use fire crystals (turning any ore into nuggets) and recipes that use wind crystals (marbled eyes) - otherwise crystals are not in as much demand. Once alchemists get high enough to turn them into a ton of shards or/to an alchemist that can turn them into shards they will probably be worth more, however.

When it comes to sitting around not doing anything for long periods of time, only being active for short windows, and marginal changes and sidegrades I'd say FFXI players were the perfect choice for politicians.

Thanks for the info. I guess they will just keep stock piling for now.

As a Blacksmith and a Goldsmith this gets annoying as all ****. You constantly need new nuggets for Blacksmith and there are a ton of recipes for Goldsmith which require gemstones, which are usually made with wind crystals. I get tons of shards from gathering but rarely any crystals.

Post yourself outside a guildhouse, near the repair NPC, or near the crafting NPC at an aetheryte. Your shards and crystals will sell Smiley: grin

Try to find an LS ;_;... Still don't have one. I'm in Kashuan if anyone is recruiting.

Do some crafting leves, probably Goldsmithing for some EXP. Then do some rank 20 leves, then hopefully grind it out on my PUG to 20, although I don't think I can get 4 levels in a weekend...

Oh and try to hit 600k gil. Hopefully a million by next week!!! (Not that it means anything)

If I could find an LS that's recruiting on my server (Istory), that would be nice, just for some company, hehe.

Otherwise I'm going to be tooling around fishing in as many places as I can, seeing if/how I can cook my catches, see how I handle the shortbow I bought, and hopefully stock up on a few other class items (goldsmithing and lancer in particular).

I only got my copy yesterday, so I'm just barely starting out. I should probably actually see if there's anything recruiting that seems to be to my tastes (casual/relaxed social group). I'm low enough that I don't care if I have to restart on another server. I'm kinda-sorta feeling like I want to, because while I AM a fisher, I don't really like Lominsa that much. I really did love Ul'dah in OB, but I didn't stay there long enough to tell if it's even possible to fish there, lol.

My character is keeping a spot warm near the repair NPC in Ul'dah right now. After all the wind shards are sold off I'll probably move to LL and try to dump the rest of my fire and earth stock...Smiley: sly

Level Marauder and Gladiator until I am gaining 0% experience and then get really drunk, pass out, and wake up in seven days when my experience is normal again.

ffxiv plans include: not playing outside of leves.

I don't have much class assignments to get done, but I'd rather draw out what asssignments I do have than spend the time playing FFXIV, right now.

oh.. and walking a fine line between caffeine overdose and just too much caffeine.

Same.

I have plenty to keep me busy doing other things... I'm right in the middle of a good book, have some outdoor stuff to do, work the horses... but as far as FFXIV? It's looking like all I will be doing there is the same thing I have been doing since yesterday... checking the server list, sighing dejectedly when I still don't see the server I need in the list, cursing softly under my breath then picking my book or knitting back up and going with my day.
