I don't know if this has been covered.

This game going to have sli support ever?

Anyone have any tricks for it?

Thanks!

add ffxivboot.exe to nvidia control panel and force it to render sli alternate 1 or 2 - problem solved and game is running 50/50 workload SLI.

download shiftwindow if you want to run full screen borderless to compliment your new sli setup.

Thank you for response will let you know how it works :)
#5Lobivopis, Posted: Oct 01 2010 at 5:22 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Nope it will never have SLI support, nor will any other game. SLI support is driver side not application side.

<~~~ Has been running SLI'd GTX 470s since the open beta released.

It works so long as the executable is added to the nvidia game profiler.

I have tWo 8800gtxs and I'm trying to get some optimal system settings currently lol the game runs great on max res (1920x1080), no AA, shadows low, buffer at resolution, and the other two settings arty high and highest respectively. DEPTH of field irs also checked

I have a Quad core@2.8 and 6gb RAM.

I'm only lagging sort of in the cities and especially at camps.I mean it isn't extremely bad and it's primarily server lag anyway.

My last ? Is do you guys think I should lower settings given the hardware?

Yea, this doesn't work for me, I'm running in windowed mode and still only using one GPU. Guessing it's because it's a loldx9 game? Side note, why does it say 'ffxivboot.exe has predefined settings for SLI performance mode, changing it..etc'?

Ok I just copyed and pasted the post. this is how you get SLI working for FFXIV.

This is without modifying the game files, and without using symbolic links, therefore no risk to getting SE rage on you.

Note, this is for 258.96.

You will need the following:

A tool called: Geforce_SLI_Profile_Tool.exe

This line of Code:

Quote

Profile "ffxivgame.exe" UserSpecified=true
ShowOn All
ProfileType Application
Executable "ffxivgame.exe"
Setting ID_0x0076e164 = 0x00000009
Setting ID_0x00a06946 = 0x000240f5
Setting ID_0x1033cec1 = 0x00000003
Setting ID_0x1033cec2 = 0x00000002
Setting ID_0x1033dcd2 = 0x00000004
Setting ID_0x1033dcd3 = 0x00000004
Setting ID_0x10930f46 = 0x00000089
Setting ID_0x1095def8 = 0x02506405
Setting ID_0x10ecdb82 = 0x00040000
EndProfile

NEW nVidia supplied settings. [Unconfirmed: I will test tonight, or if someone else does, let me know] (Thanks TyuGracen)

Quote

Profile "Final Fantasy XIV"
ShowOn GeForce
ProfileType Application
Executable "ffxivgame.exe"
Executable "ffxivwinbenchmark.exe"
Setting ID_0x0095def9 = 0x00010000
Setting ID_0x1033cec1 = 0x00000003
Setting ID_0x1033dcd2 = 0x00000004
Setting ID_0x1095def8 = 0x02c00005
EndProfile

And some brainpower.

Now, get Geforce_SLI_Profile_Tool.exe (I got that off of Geeks3D I wont link it, just because it IS an exe, and could be problematic for some.)

After running that tool in administrative mode, Click on "Export SLI Profiles"

Now note where the txt file saves, Save it as something other than the default it gives you.

Open the text file in notepad, and paste the bit of code above, between, Ferrari Virtual Race and FIFA Online. (I just did this because it is alphabetical.)

Resized to 66% (was 913 x 774) - Click image to enlarge

Save the file.

Go back to The manager, and click Import.

Select the txt document you just saved, and boom, you now have SLI on the Beta!

Disclaimer: You break it you bought it.
