Do yourself a favor, turn the game music back on. Beautiful track for that whole scene in the Merchant's Ward.

Bonus tip : When choosing a path companion, first you choose the class, and then the npc will show you 4 different random characters of that class, and keep cycling through them as long as you keep saying "no". If you want to see 4 new random character options, choose "select a different skill", select that class again, and she will show you 4 new random looks.

It took me aboue 10 tries to get a male taru THM this way. Aparently she really wanted me to take a galka...

Actually, she wanted the Roegadyn to take you. No one takes a Roegadyn. No one.

I felt like listening to this track again today. Does anyone know where I can find it?

Some nice person (or persons) has posted what seems to be the whole OST on youtube. I would check there.

Found it. It's labelled 'Final Fantasy XIV OST ~ Track 18.'

The cutscene music in this game is amazing, it all really sets the mood. I've found myself stopping during different cutscenes to just listen to the background music.

Reminds me of FF13 music.

This is what they should have included as our *gift* in the CE - the soundtrack. I always liked Uematsu's tunes - though he is starting to show his age with his own bit of copy pasta. I'm not talking about the reuse of classic FF songs (because let's face it who DIDN,T giggle with glee at the end of the first quest and the classic completion tune) - but some of the somgs I found myself humming along the same harmonies I hummed with FFXI songs.

They are still good, of course, but it's almost like he too was trying to give us FFXI folks something familiar.

I'm confused. Why would you pick a lala when you could get a slutty miqote?
