So i'm in limsa and i pick up my crafting leves. ! i have an armorer rank 10 leve for bearded rock. Befor today i was doing all my crafting with a rank 1 tool and no support or crafting clothes. While running around limsa i make my rank 12 armorer tool, and get 5 pieces of crafting gear as I want to get a little more serious about my crafting and don't want to waste more expensive mats.
I truck out to bearded rock, get to the npc,get the material,go get support, and figure this will be a breeze. try 1:
Standard Synthesis failed -21 durability
Standard Synthesis failed +10 progress -20 durability
Rapid synthesis works +30% -10 duribility
rapid synthises fails -30 durability
Standard Synthesis Fails
You Botched trying to make bronze sqaure
Now,im a rank 12 armorer,5 pieces of crafting gear,a rank 12 armorer tool, with guild support. I did a leve to produce a rank 8 item that i was previously making with a rank 1 tool and no support or crafting gear. The crafting in this game is in a sad state of affairs to say the least...I could just go grind mobs, sell the drops and buy the stuff off the bazaars of the people that have actually had the luck to get their crafting up high enough but at an outrageously inflated rate.
SE seriously dropped the ball on this game. My wife and I bought 2 CE of this game. Her pc wouldnt download the game due to copy redunency check issue that other folks have been having with their pc's as well. I even placed a call to SE tech supprt after waiting 4 days from the email i sent em and they said "sorry". On my copy i never recieved my onion helm when i opened my account even though i made sure that i imputted the registration code correctly befor i put it in. I mailed SE about that with no responce...
Im sorry I got a little off topic here but this crafting thing is a huge kick in the nuts...the perverbial straw thats breaking the camels back kinda things. I really want to love this game,I loved FFXI.
Sorry for the rant folks just feeling very discouraged atm :(:(
