Ever since the last maintenance, the game has been randomly crash on me constantly. After 3 crashes last night, I gave up and went to bed. Today, in the pass 1hr or so...it crashed 2 times. The crashes were either, game completely freeze up the computer, ffxiv has stop working, close program, or game has problem with directx driver and needs to close. It had happened before but only once in a great while, not one after another every 30mins or so.

I had tune down my OC on the computer but it didn't seem to do anything. In fact the cpu and the gpu weren't even running at 100% load. Temperature was well in the normal range...nothing toasty at all. I had the most current graphic driver for the GTX470, and actually reinstalled it just in case, but it didn't make a difference.

For what its worth, my pc's spec

i7-930 OCed current 3.9GHz lowered from 4.0GHz
6GB ram
GTX470 OCed to 730MHz Core clock lowered from 770MHz
Win 7 64bit

*note* the previous higher OC and the current OC passed all the stress test with flying color.

It is hard to play the game when it crash every 30mins or so :P Anyone has any idea or I'm not alone?

I love being in the middle of an expensive synth when the game decides to boot me.

When you reinstall the drivers did you do driver sweeper. My only guess would be a driver issue. Or somehow the game client is somehow damaged.

if your minimizing from full screen try runnin windowed, it's a known issue that i don't think se plans to fix anytime soon, if ever.

as for the game crashing in general i've experienced it myself a few times, i have no idea whats causing it, but it doesn't happen very often to me, maybe 2 or 3 times a day.

Running the game in full screen now and it hasn't crash in the pass hr. Maybe something about the windowed mode.
