Skillpoints gain in partyFollow

I noticed this very interesting phenomenon that happens when u party. I will give an example. During a fight u are attacking the monster and getting skillpoints for it. At the end of the fight, you only earned physical experience points. The other team mates got around 100-300 skillpoints. The next fight, it changes, now you got the 100-300 and someone else got zero skillpoints. On another fight, everyone in your group got some skillpoints but one person gets more than the others ie 90,130,200.

My party mate thought it was a "healing bug that steals party exp" while I think its part of SE's design to distribute skillpoint gain so there is no unfairness.

Your thoughts?

There is no healing bug that "steals" SP or EXP from others. Though the thought of that is pretty funny. The way the system seems to be set up is each time you hit a mob or heal a party member there is a chance to gain SP. Since no one knows how the game decides exactly how much SP to give each time I'm sure that most of what you mentioned is coincidence though SP gain over time should be about even between party members over a period of time.

No no, maybe I didn't make it clear enough. You get messages saying you "gain X skillpoints" while you are attacking the monster, but at the end of the fight you get 0.

about 10-12 hours ago i was in a all jp party lvlin off crabs..
i hated it so much i had to fake dc. i am half japanese myself and understand a bit of the language so i have a basic understanding of what they are saying. i just never get used to the fact that the language is backwards like

when i read it its.. "crab target here kill this should we?"
ect if u know japanese u know what im talking abt.. anyway thats not the point. the point is after every crab we would stand there for 3-5minits as everyone talked about how much sp they got.. i said several times its faster to just keep killing then stop and say how much exp/ rank exp you got. but they continued to do so..

another party that was doing goats did the same thing.. its illogical.. inefficient farming. i mean i farm much faster solo..

anyway after that i stopped even trying to pt and just rank grind on easy mobs with little to no phys exp gain and get phys from crafting..

my initial though was that from my years of playing ffxi i loved all jp partys cause we always got the fastest most efficient exp/hr so i made the mistake of assumeing itd be the same for ffxiv

and in all fairness for the 2nd party i joined they explained to me they were collecting data thats why they asked exp after every fight.. so idk if that was the case for the first party or not

0 SP bug is the biggest hindering factor in parties for me, it doesnt seem to happen when I duo but in larger parties I seem to actually gain a lot of skill...until it gets nuked at the end of fight -.- really hoping its fixed soon, rng is enough of an annoyance without it.
