Hello, I recently purchased the game. Got all the updates made my character but couldn't getinto the game, (screen would be black)I adjusted all the settings to low ingame and out.
I can get into the game if i set the graphics on lowest and such. I leveled up to 3 and do stuff but the graphics are horrible.
I found out about benchmark after i tried everything to play and got around 290.

Im asking if anyone could give me any suggestions on upgrades being specific as possible to play the game decently i should say. I am not that computer savy.

I have read the stickies and would like some advice.HELP! Thank you.
Heres my sys configuration info from the ffxiv configuration option.
Any more information please ask.

This isn't going to run the game. You'll need something a lot better than that.

This is a new, high end game (graphically). Don't expect to run it on low-end cards from 2006.

my system specs are somewhat similar to yours tho just a tad better and tho i do experience some long load times on character models in high traffic areas and a small ammount of choppiness in cutscenes i get by fine. im using

windows 7
amd athlon dual core processor
4gb memory
nvidia geforce 8600

so we have comparable processors but im running 2x the ram as u and a ever so slightly better video card. 2 more gigs of ram would probably be your easiest fix considering if your running an xp machine you probably dont have a motherboard capable of any of the new pci-e 2.0 video cards (same for me, i cant upgrade my vid card due to lack of capable slots). try to upgrade to 4gb ram, if that doesnt work ur really looking at a full overhaul. youd have to get a new mobo to buy a new graphics card, new mobo may or may not be compatible with cpu, etc etc etc..

Well my system specs are:

Windows Vista
2 GB Ram
AMD Athelon x2 2.0 gbs
8800 GTS card

I run this game pretty well right now, except in high volume areas. There is a bit of lag, but i bet that is from there end.

Also i would have to say to update your video card to a better one and you should be ok with your specs for now.
