i haven't got the chance to play yet. what's the difference between putting your skills in your main hand vs your off hand? saw a few screenshots that left me puzzled.

i havent put any skills on my offhand so im only speculating, but as far as i can tell the only class to really use that so far is gladiator using a shield. your shield is in your offhand so the skill is based on offhand. maybe we can dual wield weapons in the future? who knows.

This one time at FFXIV camp I tried to get a 3 person party going, but just ended up as a Disciple of the Hand.

The skill system is silly. The game already knows what can and can't be set into specific hands anyway (try putting an ability in the "wrong" hand), but it insists on always making you verify your choice if you set skills through the menu. May I have another hoop to jump through, please?
