Hi there,

Enjoying the game a lot!

Alright, I wanna talk about the music a bit:)
As much as I love Uematsu, and the beautiful work the master has achieved with this collection of tracks for FFXIV, there's something I feel Mizuta grasped better, that is the scope of an MMO, that involves huge amounts of time as compared to a regular offline game, and I'm gonna go ahead and say I think the tracks are a bit too loopy, and end up getting on one's nerves over time, I think they're too little too short however magnificent some of the pieces are (especially the battle pieces, love the Black Magey flavor to them!).

With this idea I went ahead with the project of composing alternative tracks just for fun, that I kick in when bored with the regular ones.

I'd like to propose them to you, feel free to download them and let me know whether you happen to find something appealing to them, and who knows maybe grant me the immense privilege of playing them while you play some time or other, one can always dream! :)

Here's the link to where you can direct download the tracks:

Take care and have fun in Eorzea^^/

whenever I play, I just turn off the music if it's an area/event I've been to before, and I just stream music from whatever internet radio station.

I didn't like the electro-ish music from the start. I've said that they should've used orchestral, but Japan seems pretty big on that unremarkable musical fad they're currently in.

Yay, good to see you've worked on a new track. I hope I'll enjoy it as much like the previous two. I really like slow and quiet tunes - unfortunately I can't download the Uldah track from megaupload - only get an error message always.

I thought it would be cool to substitute some of the tracks from FFXI into FFXIV, like using Windy theme for Gridania, etc. Can anyone who has some clean rips of the music from FFXI see if this would be possible?

I love this track--it seems to fit Gridania better to me personally, but it is a great track! Thanks for posting these. ^_^

In all honesty, you deserve a trophy for your LL and Mor Dhona tracks. I like that kind of music and hope to hear even more from you in the future. :) I was endlessly listening to your newest addition the whole evening while playing the game.

Hey there Shalindra,
Thanks for the humbling comment, I wasn't exactly sure they would come out well because of my limited materials. It really thrusts me towards writing more music:)
Scarce is the pleasure that surpasses reaching someone's feelings by expressing one's passion!!
Thank you and take care till next track:):)
Have fun ingame:)

This one is great - I like it very much. Actually, it would fit perfectly well for the outside region of Gridania as well.

By saying "ending the album" - does it mean, there won't be more tracks in the future? That would be sad, since you have great potential as well.

Hey Shalindra, thanks again for the feedback, I have doubts about this one really, had a harder time feeling the inspiration^^.
Well by the 'end' I mean I am done with the field tracks, in the near future I'll get cracking on the battle and cut-scene tracks, but taking a bit of a small break for now because I got loads of work looming up.
Thanks a ton for keeping me motivated with your words!:D
Take care :)

I will admit my expectations weren't high when I saw this thread. It is really cool when you find really good quality fan made content. I really enjoy the music that you made. Keep up the good work ^__^
