Macro Help plz?Follow

#1 Oct 03 2010 at 12:50 PM Rating: Decent
Ok.. So I've read through and through, on all four Final Fantaxy XIV fansites about how to set up macros. Even read the Lodestone directions of creating macros. The current commands that I have within the macro configuration box is as follows:

/equip main weathered pickaxe
/equip sub bronze sledgehammer

IF and I mean IF I am reading everything correctly, everything should work and my character should equip those two items on the main/sub slots. However, nothing happends, and i get into my chat box these two commands. If anyone has any insight on what is being done wrong, or if maybe lag is playing a huge issue as to why this macro, or any macro i make may not bw working, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Also I'm on the Besaid server. Lvl 10 Pug /10 Lncr /10 Arch /8 THM /12 min /9 BS /8 GS /7 FSH / 6 WW /2 Cook / 8 Alch / 6 Weav /3 Leatherer /5 Clothworker / 11 Arm

Ok, my next thing I have to add is that I've used the italics, and the brackets. Both of wish receive the same outcome of nothing responding

Xel

P.S. Thank you for the input. If anyone else can help on this issue/matter it's be awesome. I'm tired of wasting 30 secs switching from class to class to gather / attack.

Make sure the item is spelled right and most importantly using Caps.

AHA! Dion. Thank you very much. I didn't even think of that fact that maybe the system would be case sensitive. LoL. Thank you so much again.

ok in your macro box type /equip main weat then hit tab. Pick the autotranslate of your pick axe. This will give the macro the exact capitalization it wants to recognize your item. After you get it to say /equip main {Weathered Pickaxe} put quotes around the autotranslation part. Do the same with your bronze hammer and you have yourself a macro.

If this doesnt work i'm sorry but i cant stress to you how much your doing it wrong. read the above and try again until it works o,o b
