Hey, I brought this game yesterday and have yet to install in due to school work, but I'm a bit curious about it ... From what I have read from hundreds of reviews this game is not like WoW or LOTRO and stuff. All you do is do crafting quests and level up.... Is this true ???

And then ... What is the best world to start in ? I'm from England Europe.

To me, from what I've seen.. The game is intertwined with being a well diversed character. It's best to make a player with a wide spectrum of skills and experiences to overall level up your physical level. It isnt fun to literally go around bashing monsters face in.. so they added other professions to lvl up coincide with offensive professions. Also, FF XIV, unlike most other rpgs are cruel to it's players to reach the light to the other side. Yes, I've played my share of WoW, but XIV is unique, in that they are more, in my opinion, favored to having we well intact storyline that pushes a player to reach end-game material.

However, out of the gate, what else could you expect? Everyone is diong everything to feel out basic and advanced aspects of the game. So until you are diversed in the game fully, you cannot reach several things that I think SE wants you to achieve. Not yet however. The game is new, so we should all know that many things are going to need to be tweaked, redone, or maybe even replaced. Until then, enjoy the somewhat to most stomach-wrenching grind.

I for one take pleasure into leveling many different professions. As it makes me diverse, Levels my physical level the same (if not faster) and ultimately helps me out in teh way of making money, as anything i pick up, or loot. I can make to generate Gil. ^.^
