Apologies if this is re-hashing previous dialogue, but having just logged into XI I am curious if ppl would rather have the XIV service available via POL. I'm not sure but wouldn't that be a more convenient way to manage your account with SE. (ie. see what game your friends are playing or better way to message people when not online?) Obviously, I know that this is not the case but just curious what other people think. Hope ya'll are enjoying your Sunday eve.

POL reminds me of crafting in XIV - ie have to confirm a million times to something I should just have to click once >.<

To be honest I dislike POL and see it as pointless. It was originally going to be an Xbox Live/PSN type service ran by Square but it never took off. Now its just an empty shell forcing you to take forever to simply turn on FFXI.

Though I've always been curious of how things would be different if POL became the big success that Square was hoping for (and Sony actually made use of the PS2's hard drive).

I agree. I remember when I first was getting accustomed to the POL service and had choices for which game to play (lol, I had never logged tetra ever) I always envisioned the next SE online games accessed through the service. Funny how things change. . .
