Why not stack ammo to 999?Follow

Would you want arrows/bullets as 999 stacked?

Choice(1) Yes

Choice(2) No. I like it just the way it is.

As wonderful as FFXIV gets, I'm still bummed at the fact ammo doesn't get stacked at 999 like the crystals. Let's be realistic here. The job of archer burns ammo just as fast as playing Puglist. A full 20 stacks of ammo arrows can get burnt rather quickly in matter of an hour or less.

I submitted a feed back to Square Enix. Please do the same to make archer a more pleasant job to play with without taking up massive room for ammo.

Makes sense, would be almost as effective as quivers in FFXI (which technically gave them the ability to stack to 1188)... And we know the game does have support for stacks of 999 since that's how the shards are.

It's worth noting that when FFXI first came out, arrows stacked to 12... imagine how fun RNG was to level then! So, give it time and I wouldn't be surprised to see this change implemented.

We want it complicated, thats why we are here!
Man why people don't get it... easy = Blizzard, here we do it like real men.

Square Enix separated crystals and stackable for a reason. Your reply is obscure and I don't care for Blizzard's game. Support the player's views, not the company's. The game is and always can be improved as implemented by Square Enix we are the voice of FFXI & FFXIV.

I never played wow or was interested in its appearance of the game compared to FFXI. If you actually played PUG or ARCHER you would notice how considerably fast they attack. It's not making the game easy, it's making it smart on making space, large quantities of ease, and storage needed for goods/crafts/equipment.

There is no mog house in the game & no auction house, and the only thing available is retainers. I craft several guildes and it's troubling as it is swiping gear from the retainers & materials.

As long as we have the option to sell/buy both stacks of 99 and stacks of 999.

Or to buy/sell any quantity of an item, rather than limiting it to only selling one or an entire stack.

I gave archer a try and bought 2 stacks of 99 just to see how much I liked the job, besides my inventory space was down to less than 20 open slots. I thought it might be a quick session but yeah... 2 stacks of 99 went way fast. Decided to not do archer for awhile, at least till I have more inventory space. Definitely should be able to stack at least 999 arrows in one slot :P

Yeah, pretty much this. Arrows go very quickly, and with the limited inventory space, it's not fair that Archers need to set aside a whole 25% of their bags. They're spending gil just to attack how it is, at least make it less painful to carry them.

In short, arrows stacking to 999: (| Yes, please |)

Archers should have an additional inventory tab that only holds arrows. It could hold as many stacks as the user wants - in case someone wanted to carry different kinds of arrows - but only 9999 total arrows.

You could call it... oh i dont know, a quiver or something? Just a thought. If theyre going to beat Archers over the head with ammo costs - and they ARE - at least make it convenient for us to carry the **** things.

I would like arrows to stack to 999, or a dedicated container with a fixed limit, I would also like a counter for said container to always be on display.

Another change I would like is to be able to refil my arrows without getting my weapon out (so you can move without hinderance).

(For those comparing the change being to easy like WoW, WoW has now REMOVED AMMO altogether, or will be doing so soon.)

Lastly, and I might be wrong on this... archers pay for arrows because I believe that the weapon degradation is slower than other classes. Probably not to the same level/gill ratio, but I have only had to repair my bow twice so far.

Yeah definitely ammo-at-a-glance.

Another route they could take with this - if they're just hellbent on charging archers gil for each shot - would be instead of buying arrows by the stack, archers would buy a single quiver that allowed them to shoot an infinite amount of whatever type of arrow that quiver contained, but the quivers would be fairly expensive, say several hundred thousand or more for a quiver. Each different type of quiver would take up one inventory space when unequipped but could be switched out. Maybe they'd go in the pack slot or something?

Honestly IDK why there is even consumable ammo in the game; its an antiquated and outdated mechanic. We're already suspending disbelief to play the game, aren't we?

I'm good with ammo being consumable. That adds a little of an advanced class feel as opposed to something like pug which is just smashy smashy and low thought. IT does suck having them stack to 99 moreso in this game tho than FFXI. It's no problem for me to blow through 19 stacks of arrows in a day. If I'm gonna leave ton i better have at least 1k. So that's 1/4 of the inventory gone. Then you get loot in place of these stacks as you fill up so when you get back in town. Well, time to clear 20 slots to even get back out. 999 stack would be win
