I wasn't sure I was going to, as I know it's going to go into the box (maybe that's why our CE box is so much taller than at least the EU one which had more stuff) and never come out again. But, I had to. I contemplated making a mule with a funny name (like Lindsay Brohan) and using that one to get the Right of Passage. However I decided against it and just got mine for my main as I felt silly enough ordering it already.

If you haven't sent in for yours yet, why not? Will you ever?

Unless it comes with a Coffee mug and map, I don't think I will be.

I was waiting to make sure that I was going to stay with the game before sending in for mine. Now that I decided that I will, I'll send for it when I get a chance later this week.

I'm a sucker for free sh*t. I still own every box, every manual, every map, every styrofoam insert and CD sleeve from nearly every game I've ever bought from as far back as the mid to late 80s. I still have boxes and manuals for DOS games and NES games, and the extra catalogs that come in the box and try to sell you their merchandise, the dropins about the old Nintendo game tip line, etc. Aside from the plastic on the outside of the box, I save pretty much everything. Manual from the first LoZ, the paper Startropics map that you're supposed to dip in water, the box for Diablo 1, even the paper inserts that held the cartridge in place for Game Boy and SNES games. The only things that got thrown away were from when I was like... 2 or 3 and my parents were buying me stuff and chucked the packaging, but I still have a lot of it.

So I haven't done it yet, but I'll still send away for it. I don't know if I'll frame it or if I'll just fold it up and put it back in the box, but I will get it.

on a similar note, I wish the NA version had the nifty map instead of the piece of crap RoP. That would have been actually useful.

Yeah, I'd trade the RoP for a map and tumbler in a heartbeat.

I'm receiving mine in November, by their estimated time of arrival. I'm excited for mine actually. I don't doubt it's of good quality and I'm anticipating what it looks like up front.

I wish we would have received the coffee mug as well, or even the map was kinda cool looking.
That being said..
I sent for the RoP.......

The map isn't really useful honestly. It's the same one in the cover of the NA journal and I think instruction manual. It's just clothy and soft... and I had to have it (the tumbler is nice too) being the oldschool PC RPG nerd I am. Then again I got the EU version fairly local for dirt cheap, I don't think I'd pay 80+ USD for it like it would cost to import it from most stores.

Shouldn't have to fold it to put it in the box assuming it's standard certificate size.

Well, I tried a couple days after getting my copy... But the website kept timing out and I eventually just gave up. I can't say that I am particularly excited about having a piece of paper saying I play a video game - but I DID pay the 75 bucks for early access to one of the most broken games I have ever played. The least they can do is print my name on some pretty paper.

I am going to try again this week, but I imagine that I will get some other error stating the code has already been used or some such nonsense. Would be just my luck.

Heh. I wish I could even use the journal. But I use a moleskine journal, which kicks the crap out of the one that came in the CE <.<

Ditto. I have too many sketchpads already, and the combination of the thick, stiff binding, and really flimsy feeling paper, I don't think I'll be drawing or writing in that one.

I use the journal for game specific things (writing down the names of characters with their professions for example).

I haven't sent away for the RoP and frankly I think it is lame - I can't for the life of me understand why NA got such a dumb "gift" while EU got an awesome map and tumbler. Who thought up such a stupid idea?

I sent off for it, but not bacause I found it particularly neat or interesting. It said itcomes with a unique serial number of some sort. I only got it in case that number can ever be used as a code for some in game item or give me special access to content. My feeling is that it most likely will not, but I am cautious about such things so its a "CYA" move.

Haven't yet...been lazy. I'm disappointed with NA's CE in general. Doesn't help that the printing is pretty low quality on the journal as well.

Honestly, I'd completely forgotten about it. I may enter the code for it at some point, but then again I may not. To me, these things are too nerdy and I wouldn't know what to do with the 'certificate' if I had one.

It's too bad we didn't get that map instead. Back when I bought Ultima Online it came with a map like that one, and it was a cool little collector's item.

Can I have your code for my wife? I didn't get her the CE and she really wants a RoP.

I feel that the NA CE version of the game was a sham. The add in IMO were not worth the price. I admit the purpose of purchase was simply to play the game earlier.

I still wanted the map and tumbler though.

Haven't sent out for it yet, and if I don't forget I plan to send out for it.

I have a feeling, that if you asked some one would happily PM you their code. If I had a second one in my EU CE box I'd PM it to you right now.

Sadly I would have argued with you and said it was ok, it'd better than the notepad that I got with SCII... or so I thought. But when I opened the EU CE and realised without a doubt I would never write on that version yet I would on the NA one... and then I thought about how Blizzard made it easy and went old school New World Computing Might and Magic III style with a notepad you don't have qualms about writing on... the NA one is just nice enough to make you not want to write in it, but not so nice that you wouldn't. I really don't know why they wasted money printing 3 different versions when really they only needed to print 1 (0 letters other than their wingdings-esque map letters). Oh well.

It sucks when one gets provoked into derailing their own thread (not blaming any one but marketing directors).

Its part what I bought so **** yeah I did. Its kinda of neat I think too. I even tried to get my brother to give me his for my 2nd character (cause going from Magic to Melee would take a long while since you only get a little bit back each reassign), but he decided not to even though he is not going to use it, that *******.

Lol. On the flipside, like Mikhalia the Picky, I tend to have a collection of random stuff from games. ****, I still have the Nintendo Power Guide to the original Final Fantasy. Though 1 page in the middle falls out when you open it.
