Just wondering how sales have been so far. I saw they had to add more servers or something so there must be lots of people buying the game : )

I think they did pretty well initially selling the game. Now I'm hearing about the price of the game already going down. As for the number of people sticking around after the first free month, thats another question. Being a 6 year FFXI enthuist, I can say that I won't be resubbing after the free month.

Well my wife and I, as well as her mother, plan to buy it after some of the problems we experienced in beta are resolved... so that's three more players right there. d(^_ ~ )

I'd have to look it up again, but the last sales report I saw showed FFXIV was second in sales for that week behind Civ V.

All I have read is that sales exceeded SE's expectations.

Also, I wouldnt listen too much to all of the negative commentary on Zam. For each negative poster there are lots loving it in game. I reckon I must have grouped with in excess of 100 different people, and been in my LS with in excess of 50 people and whilst most say the game has issues that need fixing, all intend to resub.

Internet forums by their nature are populated with those with strong opinions - most people that like the game are too busy playing the game. I only access Zam these days when Im not home to play (sadly my laptop cant handle the gamee and lags too much).

I agree that forums can be a bad place to actually find out about the game experience. I see more negative than positive threeads here on Zam, but I know that's because most of us enjoying the game are too busy to hang on Zam all night(those Cotton yarns don't synth themselves now, do they? ;)
